I have lived in the bohemian neighborhood of Rome, Trastevere, in the heart of the historical center for over three years. Everyday seems dream-like as I begin mine by visiting a nearby cafe nestled in a building that once served as a stable for horses. I have my cappuccino and a freshly baked whole wheat cuisant filled with honey! The whole day is planned around my next meal or snack! Isn't that what Italy is all about? Art, history and food & wine! The daily open market in my neighborhood is spectacular! My favorite fruit and veggie vendor, Bruno, greets me everyday with a new tasting of what is fresh as well as a quick tip or recipe in preparing the "Roman way"! I will share with you all my favorite hide-outs from art to dessert! My parents are from the Frosinone region, just about 1 hour from Rome toward the center of the country. I have many tips on what to see and do in my region as well as surrounding places. My house is filled with light and sunshine with great outdoor space to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The house is set up to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Come stay with me and get an insider's point of view! Casa Allegra...quiet, immaculate, bright and safe! Walking distance to many sites and public transportation. (stazione Trastevere, tram 8 and buses). I will give you an overview with a map upon your arrival.
