We had a wonderful stay. Deborah was very nice and the house was extremely clean when we arrived. We were very pleased with everything in our stay and loved the house and location. Easy walk to Lkng Sands. We would definitely stay here again!

A great place to stay on a budget if you want a whole house to your own. The house was built in the 60s and doesn't look like it's been updated since then but still good for a family of 5 to stay in for a week. Some of the outlets didn't work and we had to buy extension cords to accommodate some of our electronics, but overall the whole experience was just nice. The front porch was wonderful since we had nice weather and the games and puzzles were useful to have. There was even a bin of toys for the kids to play with. We had a few whole-family watergun battles outside.

Very clean rustic cottage on a quiet street with just a short walk to Long Sands. Comfortable beds, great screened in porch for eating dinner, playing board games, or doing a puzzle. Nice outside deck with chairs to relax on after a day at the beach.

This is a basic and more-than-adequate cottage within easy walking distance from Long Sands, for grandmothers and grandchildren alike. It was homey and comfortable, and we had absolutely everything we needed. We'd go back next summer. Maybe with wet suits!

Deborah met us at the quaint cottage ( Nat's Nest) when we arrived and gave us the run-down. She is warm and wonderful, and stood out on the road to flag us down ,as the GPS dropped us at the zoo. We hadn't expected to have internet, but Wi-Fi was surely there. The house is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) vintage inside with items you wouldn't think you might scissors, thread and pins and needles in case you have a blow-out, and one of those really old-fashioned'll recognize it when you see it ,if you are old enough to remember! We used every bed in the place and we all had room. I loved the puzzles and old games available in case of rain, but the two things I loved the most were the screened-in porch and the pot for steaming clams and lobsters. The kitchen had the niftiest gadgets, for sure! There is a washer, not a dryer, but there is an inside rack and and outside clothes line. There is also a very nice BBQ grill on the large deck and plenty of seating for everyone ( not pictured) A hose at the end of the porch was a bonus. I would bring a wagon for toting "stuff" to the beach, if I were to go again. It is a do-able jaunt to long sands beach for just about anyone! Short sands is a little bit more arduous due to the busy road ( Ridge). If you are looking for luxury, go someplace else. If you are looking for a good time with family and friends, you will find this a warm and welcoming spot. WE didn't come to Maine to stay in a fancy room.....nor eat chicken! We had exactly what we needed! Thanks Deborah, hopefully we will see you next year!

Deborah met us at a set time and went through all the particulars of the house. Very thorough and friendly. The gas stove is fantastic for cooking, and all the cookwear is there. Even oven pans that fit inside the smaller size. Having two refridgerators is a blessing. With family travelling seperately, you never know how much food you will have. The house is walking distance to the beach. But if you are carrying anything heavy, be sure to have a cart, lest your arms go numb and fall off. Being able to walk to the beach and beachfront general store is great because the parking meters are $2/hr and only take coins.
