Great place in a convenient location outside of Asheville. Quiet cabin in the woods, exactly as pictured. Loved that our host left fresh ground coffee and cream for our stay!

My wife and I stayed for a week while she attended the Swannanoa gathering. The place was perfectly located for that, and was great for a 1 week stay. Plenty of space, well furnished and with a full kitchen. It is a lovely cottage surrounded by trees. Very private even though close to the main house. Monroe was easy to communicate with and very welcoming when we arrived. Highly recommended place to stay!

The Quiet Cottage is just that; nestled between old-growth rhododendrons and large rocks (some placed by nature, others carefully placed by the host. The cottage sits high off the ground giving you a wee bit of a 'treehouse' feeling - and as delightful as this was for me personally, I have to let you know, it is not handicap accessible. The interior is as cozy as it gets; hardwood floors, comfortable couch, large screen TV (if you feel the need or want to use as a stereo), gas stove, microwave, frig, and breakfast table, extremely comfortable bed, really nice shower and the big surprise, washer & dryer. Perhaps for me what made this a particular cozy spot was the owner's artwork throughout the cottage which lent that personal touch of a beloved place. I slept like a rock here and woke to birdsong outside my window each morning. The loft bedroom is very attractive and I was almost lured into staying upstairs. Giving you a complete picture here, if you are 'large,' the spiral stairway is extremely narrow; if that is an issue, be forewarned. The front porch looks out over the mountains and very private; two rocking chairs, a table, and a ceiling fan complete the picture. To get to the cottage you pass by the owner's home and there are 2 friendly dogs occasionally on the porch; they speak to you, if you speak to them (I did). It's lovely, simply lovely. I left this morning and will be booking for next summer this week.

Monroe and Lupe were amazing hosts. Communication was great and the cottage is just as described. Monroe was out of town- but I did chat with Lupe at check in. He was so kind and made me feel so welcome in their space. Life gets no better than sitting on a rocking chair on that porch, we saw a beautiful sunset, and stayed dry as storms rolled in and brought a nice breeze. The perfect place to unplug, unwind, and relax.

Beautifully appointed. Well secluded but not far from town. Large porch with a private view. Comfortable bed. I would stay there again.
