Interaction with guests

My parents live in the main house right above, my mom is a dog walker and loves to socialize but will totally respect your privacy. Feel free to ask her any questions or for any added essentials.

The neighbourhood

Walking distance to all other major neighborhoods such as Wicker Park, Bucktown, And Logan square. Down the street from a 24/7 bodega, family dollar, grocery store, and ice cream parlor. 3 minute walking distance to Humboldt Park, enjoy walking by the lagoon or catching a local softball or baseball game. Very close to the newly added 606 trail that takes you straight to wicker park. Enjoy night life by taking the California bus to Logan square and check out all the cool local dive bars and arcades. Just one bus ride away from the super popular and fun North Avenue beach. The bus drops you off right next to the sand and runs late so you can take it back to your home away from home.

Getting around

California Blue line to get to downtown
North avenue bus if you don't feel like walking to wicker park.
California bus to take to division street

Other things to note

Humboldt park is a great and safe neighborhood.
Feel free to buy groceries and cook in the apartment if you want to save some extra expenses from eating out. My mother who lives above owns 3 dogs, 2 pugs and a shih tzu completely harmless and for the most part pretty quiet. They are not grumpy old people, they like to go out and explore the city so if you have any questions feel to ask them. They've lived in the neighborhood for almost 40 years.

House Rules
Check in is anytime after 10AM

There is a gate key and door key. My mom never let's the dogs loose but just in game always be sure to close the gate. The door can only be locked with the key from the outside and from the dead bolt on the inside. This is a garden apartment in the city of Chicago so please make sure the door is always securely closed. Please smoke outside there is a patio swing and porch to hang out. No over night visitors unless paid the extra fee.

Can be lenient with check out times unless there is a guest arriving after you. Other than that we will try our best to accommodate.

My stay was awesome. I came up for the World Series. The unit is near a bus stop that hooks up to the train so it was very easy to get around the city. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again!

The apartment is a little bit dark, there is no natural light insiste, but there is plenty of space, clean and nice neighborhood with a supermarket nearby. The bed was a little bit uncomfortable and the bathroom light was realy noisy. Finaly we had a good time there.

Apartment was definitely not as clean as I would've liked, but it was a good value for Chicago. Seemed like a good location.

Nice place to stay while exploring the city! Destiny's parents are a great resource for neighborhood info. Bed is a little small for two.

I am a college student who LOVES to travel, so far I have been to Colombia, San Andres (still Colombia), Puerto Rico, South Korea, Thailand, and hopefully a lot more. I grew up in the city of Chicago and am also a airbnb host so I know proper etiquette when It comes to entering another persons home. I like to try new things and am very interested in the culture every place has to offer. I am super friendly, easy going, and low maintenance.
