Description

The space

The ground floor level of our home provides you with plenty of space to spread out during a short or long term stay. It's great for that last minute re-packing before a long flight home! There's the cooking basics with a grill microwave, steamer, single induction hotplate and full size fridge. The laundry is at the rear of the house.

Geoff and I will help you get to know the area and can offer insight and advice on south east Queensland and the rest of Australia. You are welcome to join us on "Family night" currently Wednesday night, when we cook a roast and have a "few strays" for dinner and lively discussion!

The Neighbourhood

Ascot is one of Brisbane's prestigious suburbs. It's known for it's grand old Queenslander timber homes.

Getting Around

We are half way between the CBD and airports- 10-15 mins in either direction. Buses and trains are walking distance and the City Cat river ferry is a 5 minute drive- I'd drop you down there! We are close and all major access roads to the north, south and west.

Guest access

There's off street parking for convenience and security. The space is disability friendly with rails in the walk in shower. Well behaved furry friends are welcome too!

Central location, clean place, pleasant stay. Judith was helpful for places to dine in the area.

Response from Judith:
Thanks Michelle for your kind review and yes Northshore is my favourite brekkie spot. Next time you are up I'll direct you to another, where the view is sensational, but the food....not so good!

A really large space on the ground level of a QLD'er style home. The space actually has two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining table as well as bathroom. It would actually suit a family with two kids very, very well, meaning you could be self contained whilst on holidays. I only booked the same morning of check-in, but Judith still worked out a seemless check in even though she was not in Brisbane at the time. Close to cafes & restaurants on Racecourse Rd, bottle shop and small supermarket only two blocks away.

Judith is a great host, very communicative and helpful. The place is very comfortable, dog friendly, and waking distance from Newstead park. We spent there 2 weeks and Judith made us feel like at home. Last but not least she is a great cook! Highly recommended.

Jude's a traveller from way back and has enjoyed a lifetime of adventure exploring the UK, Europe, Asia, east Africa and the Americas. I've also travelled extensively around Australia for both business and leisure. I love the freedom and challenges of travel. Food is another passion of mine so I've eaten myself around the world a couple of times! It's the people I've met along the way that have enriched my travel experiences. our guests space here is a sanctuary which I have ensured it's equipped with the things I value when I travel. Hope you will enjoy it too. I'm easy going and practical and can help with an query or problem.
