House Rules

The site is strictly non smoking. We'd like guests to behave considerately and respect those around them including the wildlife which call Marston Farm their home. Noise should be kept to a minimum after 9pm on week nights and 11pm on weekends (Friday and Saturday). The main entrance gate must be kept shut at all times for the safety of our dogs. Accommodation must be left as you found it and treated well. A great deal of love, thought and work (by local craftspeople) has been put into creating this beautiful space.

We loved staying in Sam's wagon - the outside space was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the whole arrangement was well designed and handy for some beautiful countryside. All in all, we were made to feel really at home and had a great stay.

Thank you for your kind words. We have put a great deal of thought into the design of the carriage and the private outdoor area so it was lovely to read your feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you both again soon :-) With very best wishes from all at Marston Farm Accommodation

Would highly recommend this gorgeous wee gem! Had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Exceeded our expectations as although it's cosy it was well equipped to store all our belongings (we brought half of Glasgow down with us ) Sammy and her family are so lovely and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If you get the opportunity to meet Val you'll not forget it, what a character So lovely. And thank you again for the milk, bread, butter (which is really tasty) and buns. We were not expecting that on a self catering basis. Last but by no means least, the Fir pit and all the other outdoor equipment were immaculate and well put to use. Sammy and her family have thought of everything. Deserves a 5 star rating! We will definitely be back. See you's all soon. Fiona and Gary xx

A beautifully thought out space with everything you could want for a short break! Sammy and Dave are fabulous hosts and you can tell how important the comfort of their guests is to them. There is no oven given the limited space but there is a microwave, toaster, slow cooker and single ring for pan cooking. There's also a grill for the fire pit but, sadly, the severe weather put us off an evening outside. That didn't matter as we could easily have spent the whole weekend snuggled up inside the cosy carriage! We will definitely visit again. Thank you!

We've stayed in the gorgeous converted railway carriage at Marston Farm - such a great place and perfect for a mum and son trip. The hosts are so welcoming and we are super happy. I'm happy to recommend Marston Farm for a short stay or a week long stay. There's space and peace and calm. Thank you Sammy for being perfect hosts.

Great communication throughout and having detailed information about the local area made this a really stress free and relaxed experience. The accommodation is comfortable, well thought out and fun! Much better than staying at some "grey" hotel and the little touches done by the hosts to make us feel welcome really made a difference. We were in our own little bubble making it feel very special. I would highly recommend if you are looking for quality time and as a place to unwind and let the world pass you by for a couple of days!
