About this listing
Quiet neighborhood in Eagle River, Alaska, just 20 minutes from Anchorage and 30 minutes from Wasilla/Palmer. We have 2 rooms available, one twin and one double bed (Occasionally the entire house is for rent, just inquire). Regular booking includes one room. If you would like additional space, please specify and I will send you a "special offer" which would include both rooms. There is a full bathroom just a few steps away. Laundry and light breakfast included.
We are on the mountain side with a beautiful view. Eagle River is nearby, and quaint downtown is a very short drive or bike ride from the house. It is easy to access trails for biking (two bikes available for rent), walking, or running. If you are here in the winter, we also have cx skis for use. Are you working while you are here? There is a quiet office area if you need a desk and printer. You can relax in the garden outside and sit enjoy the fire pit as the temperatures cool in the evening.
You are welcome to the downstairs living area, a work station with a desk and printer, and the kitchen for breakfast purposes, and lunch. Make yourself at home! There is also a back yard with a fire pit.
Interaction with guests
Although I won't be home all the time, you can reach me by phone or text. I am always happy to help!
If you want to travel around the Anchorage area, it is best to have a rental car. That being said, there are bike trails from my house into the city of Anchorage, and many people travel this way. I have two adult sized bikes and one child sized bike for rent if needed.
Other things to note
We are close to a variety of hikes, scenic areas, bike paths, and are located between Anchorage and Palmer/Wasilla, so both areas are easy to access.
Anchorage has a standard 12% bed tax, which Airbnb will collect as part of your reservation.
To keep things clean, and to honor the Asian tradition, we remove shoes at the entry to the house.
We want you to nourish yourself. You are welcome to use the kitchen, but must clean up after yourselves. There is a dishwasher you can use.
Hello! My name is Becca! I am mother to two teens, and a health enthusiast. I work for the local Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. I love to travel and learn about the world at large.
