Our much-beloved and whimsical studio with lots of natural light has been in our hands for eight years. We've hand-sewn banners, projected slides on the wall and hammered out letters on the typewriter. There is a PRIVATE entrance, PRIVATE room, and PRIVATE bathroom connected (via lockable door) to a kitchen that we happily share. We are both artists and love the city - we have LOTS of recommendations. You get the apartment off the street so its quiet and full of lights and plants and love.

The space

When people visit this studio, the first comment is about the peaceful, whimsical energy of the apartment. Beautiful wood floors, and re-purposed shelves make this spot a unique oasis. Feel inspired by the Brooklyn streets while soaking up gentle sunshine in the cool of working air conditioner.

You'll have your own separate key and private entrance and room as well as a private bathroom with tub/shower, the only thing you'll need to share is the kitchen which connects to the back studio where I live. My "shared-kitchen-mates" and I have found this to be the perfect blend of complete privacy and communal living (plus, I'm laid back rarely cook). For many years its been an oasis for actors, writers, and directors hopping between LA and NYC.

Guest access

You'll also have access to the kitchen and all the amenities therein.

Interaction with guests

If you would like any suggestions for funsies in the city feel free to ask. I love the city and people.

We were very happy with our stay. We arrived a little early and they were fine with us checking in early. There was street parking which was great! The studio was very cute and within walking distance to lots of cool places!

My brother and I stayed at Dillon's place for a short visit to Brooklyn and Manhattan. We loved the studio! Check-in (and check out) was super easy. Dillon and Christine communicated clearly with us and responded promptly to any message. The place is lovely: it is welcoming and tastefully decorated, just as you can see in the pictures. Subway stops are very close by (just a few blocks away). Thank you, Dillon and Christine, for a great stay!

I didn't actually make it to the apartment for the day I had it booked but I could only assume that is was great. Dillion and Christine were very helpful the whole step of the way and very responsive. I only wish I could of seen the apartment in person bc it looks dope in person. (I'm sure it's amazing). Thanks for all the help!

This is a very cool place if you wanna hang out Brooklyn style and enjoy your own space. Nice kitchen area, great hammock and guitar to chill, and super fast wifi (despite a few glitches). Great Comms from hosts and good value. Recommended if you like staying in someone else's world to enjoy NYC.

I grew up in a small plot of land on the tip of the Baja peninsula. I went to school in Oregon and studied political science in Chicago. I've lived in New York, Brazil, and Costa Rica. I love having Los Angeles as a base city and travel quite a bit making socially engaged films. I fell in love with Airbnb shooting on location in Colombia. Let's all travel more!
