If you are looking to get away from everything for a few days, then you won't do better than this place. This historic villa is full of character, set in the most beautiful Italian countryside and very peaceful except for the rattling cicadas. We had some of the best Italian food…

We stayed here as a base for visiting some of the car manufacturers in the area and rather than stay in the centre of Bologna thought it would be nice to stay in a rustic Italian house in the countryside. Now the house is very rustic but the host Stefania needs to ensure that wh…

Dear Alan, Thank you for your review and your complain, this will help us improve our work. I would like to clarify some points whit you. You stayed at our house for two nights: Thursday and Friday. The first night, Thursday, you arrived at the house at 11pm. I suggested you to stop for dinner during your trip from Milano to Bologna and you reply that you would have stopped to have dinner in Parma… At the end you arrived at 11 pm and you asked me to have dinner. This is really strange… I also want to remember you that I booked for you the only open restaurant close to our house at that hour. For Friday I sent you a wathapp message at 11 am, of closing restaurant during the evening. I made this in the morning thinking to give you all the time to organize your dinner. About the restaurant room that you used for dinner on Friday: At your arrival I showed you all the rooms at your disposal. I didn’t show you the restaurant room. The door was closed. Nobody asked me if it was possible to use it. On Saturday morning when you started to prepare your breakfast I told you that was room reserved for the restaurant costumers and not for the people who rent the house. Concerning kitchen and the coffee machine. The filters are and have always been in the third drawer. About the cleaning, we usually clean the kitchen and their home appliances every guest change. It could be happened that during the last cleaning session we forgot to check the coffee machine but it is really strange that you find filter not emptied for months, simply because we have guest every week and of course they use the coffee machine. In our house we welcome many kind of guest: family, young guys for bachelor party, couples, groups of friends, groups for wedding celebrations. We are please to do this and usally there are no problems. Last little thing. In Bologna we do not eat “spahgetti bolognaise”… they only exist out of Italy, or for tourists. In Bologna we eat “Tagliatelle al Ragù” ;) I wish you the best, kind regards Stefania

Very nice place. Old historic villa with comfortable rooms and beautiful view. Calm outside of the City. Birds are singing next to your window and will wake you up:) recommended. Car/transportation needed to go to Bolonia/Florence or shops. Tasty restaurant downstairs:)

A pleasant, atmospheric villa in the countryside with lovely views and comfortable rooms. There is access to a simple kitchen with induction hotplates, coffee maker, fridge, etc. There is catering/restaurant on the ground floor, and the food was good, but the restaurant is only o…
