Beautiful house with plenty of parking. Great snooker table and large very toasty fire so bring lots of fire wood! Local pubs are very nice too with good local ale and cider and very short walk from the house.

It was one of the best weekends away ever. The house is a treasure and looks much loved by the family. We are already talking about coming back next year.

This is a beautiful, remote location and a lovely, lovely building. The living space is awesome and perfect for big parties. Beds all high quality and comfy, and showers pretty good. Snooker, piano and wood fire all used and enjoyed. Kitchen needs a deep clean and a revamp of some facilities, but it is manageable. Harry very friendly, helpful and relaxed. We had a great time! Very good value.

This was a fantastic place for what we wanted. It was a little hard to find in the dark but that was probably because of road closures. The house is massive and served all our needs.

We stayed at The Old School House for my parents 45th wedding anniversary and had a great time. We loved the real wood fire, listening to my sister in law playing the piano and trying to improve our snooker skills on the full size table. The house is old so the odd cobweb and spider can be expected but we did feel that the floors/carpets could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Some elements of the house are looking quite tired and could do with being replaced/refreshed. All in all though this is a great house at a great price for the number of people it sleeps and Rebecca's brother (who lives in part of the house but separate to where we stayed) was on hand to help with anything we needed.
