Hi! I'm renting out a spacious one bedroom apartment located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It's one block from the Brooklyn Museum and two from Prospect Park. It's close to coffee shops, thrift stores, and great restaurants–It's a perfect area to wander.

Other things to note

Heat is regulated across the entire apartment building. The main radiator is located in the courtyard. The radiators can be a little noisy.

Also, please keep into consideration that it's a beautiful, old building so while there's a lot of character it also easily collects dust. Of course, we have someone clean before and after each stay.

The listing for Erika's apartment gives exactly the right impression. It was perfectly located next to five subway lines (2, 3, 4, 5 and the Franklin Av/Prospect Park shuttle - all were useful during our week-long stay). We spent almost all of the week in Manhattan, so taking the subway all the way to Midtown and beyond started to feel like an effort as the week went on, but it's worth remembering that this is a much more affordable option than the equivalents in more central locations - to cut the commute and maintain the quality of apartment would probably come with a hefty price tag. Facilities were fairly basic but comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The place felt like a proper New York apartment. The good big fridge-freezer and aircon were essential during the hot, humid summer evenings, and the bathroom facilities were absolutely fine. The historic building had charm with high ceilings and lots of room, and the apartment was very clean - we had read a couple of previous reviews that suggested it was dusty but did not find this to be the case. Our arrival was well-managed, instructions were clear and Erika answered quickly and helpfully whenever we had any queries. We would have no reservation in recommending this Airbnb. Thanks Erika!

The apartment is great value for money and very spacious. It is an old building so I appreciate these places collect dust - I felt that the flat could do with a spring clean to get into the nooks and crannies/under furniture etc. Although maybe just don't book into an Air bnb if you're expecting hotel-style cleaning! There is loud plant/equipment in the courtyard which the flat's windows open onto. This noise did impact our enjoyment of the space but fortunately my earplugs blocked it out while sleeping. The apartment is seconds away from a subway station (on a handy part of the line too - check out a subway map). There were some good bars nearby and I felt relatively safe. Other occupants of the building we came across were all friendly.

Great location, some great little bars around the corner in Franklin. My husband is currently on crutches (he wasn't when we booked) so found the stairs tricky. No fault of Erika's. But having good food & social places on the door step was great after a day of being 'tourists'. A few tweaks to the property & Erika could demand a higher rate. Overall we loved our stay & recommend this area & property. Thank you Erika, you were very helpful.

Brilliant location if you're travelling by Subway! Simple apartment but just what we needed and very helpful host.

The place is better than what the pictures show, very clean and spacious BUT both door knobs to enter the apartment are broken and ir makes it very difficult to get in. My sister and I struggled every single time we came back to the place which made it uncomfortable to come and go as we pleased. The location worked great for us since we were running a half marathon and the start line was 3 mins walking distance. We enjoyed our stay in general but the door knobs were a HUGE ISSUE and inconvenience.

Great place to stay in NYC if you dont want to spend lot of money in accomodation. The apt has everything you need. Subway few meters from the dont door. Bear in mind it is four floors by stairs. For us it was not a problem.
