There is a double bed in the main bedroom with a mural of trees to make you feel even cozier and a single bed in the second bedroom. There is a yoga studio in the backyard and craft beer on the corner. Rest and rejuvenate here or drive to downtown in 5+ minutes!
The space is calming and peaceful. The kitchen has a coffee maker, stove, fridge, and a eating space that looks out to the chicken yard, though due to Asheville's growth, we now also get to see a parking lot designated for the yoga studio behind the house. The house is over 100 yrs old and naturally has character and some dust in places. Overall though, the space is clean, cozy, and colorful! There is a fenced in yard for dogs and a separate one with chickens. Feel free to have fresh eggs from the coop if you'd like!
Guests have access to most of the house and grounds :)
Interaction with guests
I will be happy to guide you in a good direction any time, though since I am mostly out of the house, it will probably be via text. We are both kind and laid-back people knowledgeable about the area and Appalachia.
***During 10/16-10/19 and 10/26-11/02, I am offering the space as shared since I need to stay at the house. I have lowered the price to accommodate this! Please know, I am laid back, thoughtful, and aware. If anything, I just need to sleep there and will be out of the way otherwise! The main bedroom (the one pictured with the mural on wall) will be available for guests :)
Other things to note
In efforts to save water and the plumbing, there is a water catchment "system" in the bathroom...just a bucket underneath the sink that catches the sink water, enabling us to reuse it to flush the toilet. Please do not feel pressured to use it to flush if you don't want to; the toilet works fine!
No smoking inside. Please be respectful always and mindful at night. Pets are allowed, even gypsy chickens.
