Great location and exceptionally convenient since we were riding up from Singapore on motorcycles. Parking and food were all a short distance away. I would return.

I cannot understate how amazing this place is. Incredible location steps away from the centre of Malacca and a great value for money. As an architect, the historic charm of staying in a beautifully conserved historic shophouse was one of the highlights of my trip, and is one of the coolest places I've ever stayed! The indoor/outdoor spaces and semi-outdoor 2nd floor terrace are so cool. Pictures don't do this place justice. It's a bit rough around the edges but super cool and unforgettable. Check out more images and my review on my blog: (URL HIDDEN) Highly recommended!

I would say the hosts are extremely accommodating towards us when it comes to checking in/out times, and they are also extremely responsive to our messages. The location is very convenient as well - sited in the historic core of Malacca, it is within walking distance to Jonker Street and the river. The house does have rather peculiar decorations (eg. glass shelf of baby dolls, a framed orbituary, a faceless Buddha sculpture) though, which made for an interesting experience for us! We jokingly called it the haunted house (by the way it is not!!). Also, there are 2 rooms on the second floor which are sort of open to the exterior and would have been nice if there weren't so many mosquitoes! The host has of course very kindly provided us with mosquito coils :)) All in all, it was quite memorable staying in this lovely house!
