Nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street in the central neighbourhood of Oaklands is our 1912 arts & crafts home, The Dawson. You will feel right at home and have everything you need in our brand-new garden-level suite.
This suite is perfect for a single or couple visiting Victoria for work, study or play and is walking distance from grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants and major bus routes. A 5-min drive or 15-min walk to RJH, our suite has become a favourite for travelling nurses.

The space
The suite has plenty of natural light and stays at a very comfortable temperature year round (it is nice and cool during the summer and very cozy in the winter). There are blackout blinds in the bedroom and light-filtering blinds throughout the rest of the unit.
There is a nice living room with a couch, 42" tv with Netflix and a desk that converts into a dining room table. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed with everything that you need for cooking (if there is something that is missing, please message me and I will try my best to provide you with the item). The bedroom features a queen-size bed with two deep drawers and a brand new mattress. There is a spacious closet with plenty of hangers as well as an iron and ironing board and a clothes steamer. The bathroom features a nice size shower, vanity with two deep drawers, and a washing machine and dryer.
Free parking is readily available on our street.

Guest access
Your space is accessible through your own private entrance to the side of our home. You have your own private patio outside your front door. There is only one chair out there, but you are welcome to bring the chairs from inside the unit out there if you wish.
Should you need to empty your garbage/recycling during your stay, you will find the bins on the left hand side of the house.

Other things to note
Guests should note that this suite is in our family home. We have two young boys and you will likely hear footsteps and a variety of other "kid sounds" from above. The kids wake up at around 8 AM and go to bed at around 10 PM during the week and a bit later on the weekends/during holidays. We do our best to keep noise to a minimum and thank you for your understanding.

Oaklands is a lovely, community-focused neighbourhood with tree lined streets and plenty of parks. You are a five minute walk away from the charming Haultain Corners, a collection of small businesses featuring an organic grocery store and coffee shop. A fifteen minute walk south will take you to Fernwood Village, where you will find boutiques, a pub, a wine bar and a lovely locally-owned coffee shop.
