This place is nice and comfortable to stay at but it is about 30 mins tram ride from amsterdam central. It was good value for me though as accomodation in the city centre was too expensive. The trams are cheap though and run from very early in the morning to about 1.30 am

Jaysel is absolutely an amazing host. She is super nice! Helped me a lot in my trip. And the accommodation is near the tram station. Although it is a little bit far from the city center but the transportation is very convenient. The room is clean and comfortable as well. Recommend for everyone.

Both Jaysel and Mathieu were very welcoming upon our arrival. They also gave us clear directions on how to get to their apartment. The place itself was lovely and it was easy to get to the city centre with a tram stop just outside.

Host gave very detailed instructions of how to get there from the airport, we were surprised to see so little of Mathieu and he didn't come across as very friendly! But we weren't too bothered as our main focus was exploring Amsterdam! Not having a private bathroom area made things a little more uncomfortable but we did soon get used to it. Good location we didn't mind the travel as once we left we didn't come back until we wanted to go to sleep! There was a kettle and some tea left out for us but when I tried to plug the kettle in the plug was incorrect and I couldn't actually find an adapter so we couldn't use it in the end. Overall, a suitable place if you need somewhere to sleep and are keen to see as much of the city as possible! We felt very safe here too

Response from Jaysel:
Mathieu is working the whole day & he never had a chance to see or talk to you so it's wrong to say he didn't come across as very friendly, how could you say that when you didn't even see or talk to him, you only gave him the keys upon your checkout. It's clearly written in our description that the bathroom/toilette is shared, please read the description first everytime you book to avoid misconception. You cannot say that you couldn't find an adapter when the night you borrowed an iPhone charger, you had your own adapter. (Maybe trying to justify the act when you opened the door in our room, you thought no one was inside & say you want to borrow an iPhone charger) we provide accommodation, even in hotels you you won't find an iPhone charger or adapter, it's a traveler's responsibility to bring the the things he needs for a convenient travel. It's Airbnb & it's really off to disturb the host when he/she is in deep sleep just so you can borrow an iPhone charger & try to invade their privacy by opening the door yourself because you thought no one was inside their room. Overall, as a host we're willing to go extra mile just to attend to our guest needs to make them feel at home & comfortable but we also expect respect, politeness & kindness from the end of our guests. After all, we all want the same thing wether we're a guest or a host, to feel respected & appreciated.
