The little house in Marie-Laure's garden was amazing. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend it. Marie-Laure was very friendly, and she very kindly let us come early in the morning so that we could go on a trip during the day. She also provided us with bus passes, which made travelling free in the whole Chamonix valley (very convenient). The neighbourhood was quieter than Chamonix, which we appreciated.
If I could rate this higher than a 5 I would. Marie-Laure came and picked us up from the train station when we got in, which was amazing as we were not expecting this. She said she did not speak very good English but we had no difficulties what so ever speaking with her. The place is a detached cabin and has everything you need. Marie-Laure had some fresh bread and butter when we arrived along with some milk, butter, eggs, and beer in the fridge. She also provided bus tickets during the days we stayed there. Additionally she came and checked on us once to make sure we were doing okay. She also has very cute dog and cats. The place is not far from the bus station, which we took twice into town but every other time we walked into town as it has amazing trails to get you in. We will for sure being looking to stay here next time we are in Chamonix.
