The space
The art gallery
After climbing the stairs to the upper floor of the house, on the way to the art and classical gallery, you come to a special collection of hunting trophies from the 1900s to the 1950s. The bench under the trophies, made by Toni Menacher, invites you to linger. The large three-leaf closet as well as the chest and dresser are from the 19th century. The black designer chair from the series "The 12 Jerseys" by Andreas von Weizsäcker, the son of Richard von Weizsäcker, was a gift to his classmate Toni Menacher.
The smaller of the two gallery apartments is characterized above all by the modern art of the painter Andrea Schmiedeck. The artist's hand-signified prints show sounds of the moment in Blue.
In addition to the three pictures of Schmiedeck, the watercolor images "Munich Day and Night", which remind the artist Toni Menacher of his long sheep years in Munich, hang the artist Toni Menacher.
The reading tables next to the bed in the Apartment Kunstgalerie are from the teaching company of Toni Menacher, the Kaspar & Alois Schwab in Miesbach.
The modern sofa also invites you to relax. The house library certainly has an interesting work to browse.
Guest access
Accessible to all guests:
The farmhouse parlor,
which was used as a community and breakfast room on the ground floor, has always been the place for socializing.
You can get together here.
The armchair oven with original Art Nouveau attachment and wrap-around bench, as well as the massive farmer's table, still comes from the original time of the farm.
In the large open kitchen with brick stove, you can spend cozy hours in cozy warmth, especially on cold winter days.
The art
corridor The old historic, central corridor of the homestead.
On the way from the apartments to the farmhouse parlor and back door in neo-Gothic style
A collection of Christian, sacred and folk art from the 18th to the 20th century can be seen in stylish lighting. As very appealing, it is not only for art connoisseurs to call the beautiful Madonna from Franconia and the gilded Baroque mirror via mid-German baroque, impressive oak chests. Modern works by artists Toni Menacher themselves also enrich the art corridor. And a little hidden is also the small door to the granite wine cellar. From time to time, wine evenings will take place downstairs at bacon and cheese, and a selection of fine wine varieties for tasting.
The farmer's garden
Also in the farmer's and herb garden of the Künstlerhof, many works of art are hidden.
In addition to the beautifully landscaped terraces in the garden, which preserve the original garden, the old spring fountain is located slightly in front of the entrance door to the farmhouse and art corridor.
Everyone will find a quiet place in this farmer's garden, can breathe on sun loungers, can be alone, read, sunbathe...
Then directly the old bakery. Behind the bakery is still the ruin of the old village school house of Altreichenau.
The planted salads and herbs can be harvested by guests and used for the personal culinary delights in the apartment.
If you take a small stroll through the farmer's garden, you will find all kinds of works of art that have retained their place there over the years. – The lantern from Alsace, or the stone relief "The gazelles", the portraits made of stone, the marble column, which bears the name "Mathematik 2", or the male act, and so on some more.
As with all the artwork, whether in the garden or in the house: Toni Menacher knows the story about it, it often has a variety of backgrounds to tell.
Just ask him.
