Most importantly, enjoy the space, but please be respectful. We have included many personal items for your enjoyment including books, records, art, and antique items which we have collected over the years and would be very difficult to replace.

- No smoking in or on the property
- No pets - your fury friends will have to find other arrangements
- Please do not sublet the property in any way
- We ask that you do not bring additional/unauthorized guests to the house unless receiving prior approval (This includes having a party or hosting an event)
- By renting our property, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Owner and Owner's Representative from all claims, disputes, litigation, judgments, cost and attorney fees resulting from loss, damage or injury to Occupant, Occupant's guests or licensees or their personal property.

While on the property, please observe these rules:

- The house is professionally cleaned prior to each guest's arrival. When you leave, do your best to leave the property in the same condition as when you arrived (minus normal usage of course).
- The property uses a Septic System for waste disposal. Please do not discard anything in the sinks or toilet other than the provided, septic safe, toilet paper because it will clog (which means you will not be able to use the toilet, shower, and sink)
- Please refrain from loud noises and anything else you think might disturb and annoy the neighbors. The desert air is very thin and you will be amazed at how far these sounds travel.
- Please operate and safeguard the premises including, landscaping, furniture, furnishings, appliances and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing fixtures, and keep them clean and sanitary.

Before you leave:

This is the second time we've stayed here, and we liked it even more. This is a fabulous place with a fabulous location. Secluded, scenic, immediate access to all that Joshua Tree offers. The house is best described as hip, arty, and wonderfully understated. Highly Recommend!

It was an absolute pleasure to spend a few days at Thomas's house on the edge of the desert. The house is filled with delightful and unique touches, inside and out -- art, artifacts, an inspired collection of vintage vinyl. Outside the house, great views in all directions. In fact it was so comfortable there, we spent most of our time just hanging out on the patio, watching the jack rabbits and hummingbirds, enjoying the shade. Great kitchen. Fabulous bathroom. Thomas was a relaxed host and made us feel at home. Check in , check out very easy.

This house was perfect for a peaceful get away surrounded by nature. We enjoyed drinks on the patio watching the woodpeckers and hummingbirds fly around and bunnies play in the open area behind the house. We enjoyed the extensive record collection as well. Everything you need is at your fingertips and Thomas provided a list of good restaurants to try and places to go. Joshua Tree Park has spectacular hiking and we saw the most amazing cactus blooms and wildflowers. This was a wonderful trip because of the fantastic accommodations. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. Great location to the park and away from neighbors. Comfortable, clean and enjoyed having music and darts for down time.

Thomas' place is private, beautifully decorated and as everyone before us reported, equipped with a vintage tube sound system and vinyl collection that is like going back in a time machine to the 60s and 70s ...a nightly treat during our stay. We enjoyed great hikes near Thomas' house, never seeing a soul. Access to JTNP is great if you want that experience. We like to avoid the crowds but did have a lovely late afternoon trip to Hidden Valley Nature Trail late in the afternoon, and encountered just a few other visitors. We thought not having access to a washer and dryer would be a hassle, but we managed just fine. A jewel of a place, and a fine host! J and C from PDX
