This is a fully equipped home. Please treat it as if it was a relatives home, but also as your own.

Please RUN dishwasher once a month, even if empty. It keeps it fresh. Run more often as needed.

The thermostat is monitored. Keep it at reasonable temperatures throughout the summer and winter, or it will be adjusted or locked. Thermostat shall not be set below 67 in the summer, or above 78 in the winter. Contact host if you’d like a different temperature and your request will be considered.

Guest access
You have access to the entire home, laundry in basement, tea, coffee, fridge and basic pantry items.

Keys: are in lockbox on stairs rail out front, code will be provided day before arrival. There is a second set of keys in kitchen drawer by sink. Please return keys to these same locations at end of stay and scramble the code when not in use.

Please be considerate of personal items in the home.

Wash EXTRA towels, linens, rags, bathrobes, and floor mats before the end of your stay to minimize cleaning times. Move used sheets, fitted sheets, towels to the basement and start or ready the wash before you leave. Or run them and leave them in the dryer; Or wash and fold and set them on the bed upstairs or in the upstairs closet. Can start wash day before check out to help ease your departure.

Take out the trash, to alleyway bins before you leave. Living in such close proximity to others, being near water, and city living breeds insects. We don’t want to attract them to the home. Bins disappear from the driveway. I collaborate with two other neighbors to share trash cans as needed. Sometimes it’s a free-for-all. Just find a bin and use it. I wouldn’t worry too much if someone uses our bins.

Please run dishwasher every two weeks, even if empty. It keeps it fresh. Run more often as needed.

Other things to note
Check-in after 2pm; check-out at 11am.
SAFETY
The area is pretty safe, JHU campus and campus police, as well as a police station are 2 blocks away (NE). I'm very comfortable biking area at night, as in any city, be aware of your surroundings while walking. In the past couple years with economic hardship the area may have gotten less safe all around Baltimore as in most cities. Be aware of your surroundings. Have keys ready to go inside. Don’t walk around with too many valuables. Make sure you lock your car doors and don’t have valuables visible in your car when you park anywhere.

$5 Uber to downtown or Hampden, $8 to the inner harbor. You may have mail sent to the house for longer term stays; please forward at end of rental and leave forwarding address.

The house gets a lot of rubbish mail, I’ve tried forwarding all of my mail, if I receive mail at the house, please take out of mailbox and place somewhere that is out of your way. If it looks important, tell me about it.

Born in the 70s
My work: Public health
Born Upstate NY, moved about, TX, OH, NC, OH, MN, MD, NC, I like small town living with the excitement of a big city nearby; walking around and knowing people, waiving, having conversation, meeting new people - all for grand adventures! I've found my small town living in Anoka, Baltimore, Wilmington - my little river/water cities, and spend time in bigger locations for new people, flavors, and adventure. I've traveled the States and Europe with Airbnb and enjoy the community, shared economy, and human commonalities. My hobbies include travel, movies, kayaking, energy spirituality, marketing, business, cooking, photography, and writing. When I travel I go for some novelty but also hit up one or two touristy sites. I travel for food, culture, and friends and prefer staying with friends or locals to get to know a place, to find small quality venues with local and historical character, or the perfect food item at the time...chocolate martini, beef wellington, oysters, crawfish etouffee, a great guiness pour, etc. I enjoy staying with others but at times value the flexibility of private space. I enjoy having a full kitchen or simple basics such as coffee and tea, clean linens and toiletries. I try not to spend too much time indoors and try to see as much as I can and relax when I get home. I'm a warm Italian, sociable gemini with an inclination to feed anyone who comes into my home. I adore playing ambassador and helping others find just what they're looking to experience, as that's what I'd want for myself (at times). I look to provide a clean, comfortable, accommodating, and soothing sanctuary to come back to during your travels. I hope to provide an environment of freedom and flexibility with zero obligation; and hoping you will be respectful of the spaces as they are home to me.
