Beautiful Indonesian house. The room is surrounded by a garden and has a big terrace in front of it (great for yoga, chilling and having breakfast). The breakfast is delicious. People are very friendly and are always happy to help. The location is close to the elephant cave (walking distance) but to access Ubud center the best way is to rent a scooter (10-15min drive. The owner can help you with that). We would definitely recommend to stay there if you are looking for a traditional homestay.

Despite the noisy location, this was a fabulous homestay in a traditional and well cared Balinese house with lovely gardens with a fish pond, birds, a small temple and beautiful carved buildings as you can see by the pictures. The guest house was located next to the road and the roundabout connecting Bedulu, Ubud, Gianyar, Goa Gajah temple and so son. So it was a bit noisy and busy traffic wise, but actually very convenient for a base where you can rent your own scooter and move around, since it’s well connected. This was the main reason for choosing this place. The room was very clean, cozy and tidy, with new air conditioned system and great internet connection. Bathroom was a bit older and hot water had some issues from time to time, one of the days we had to shower in cold water, which is a bit annoying when you spend the whole day sweating in such a hot and wet place like Bali. But other than that, everything was great. Breakfast was amazing, consisted in fresh fruit salad including dragonfruit, papaya, banana and pineapple, followed with a nasi goreng dish and great coffee or tea. The hosts were super nice, making us feel like at home. They were offering tea and “kopi” all the time, so we really felt we were long time guests or even part of the family. Since I was curious, I even had the chance to prepare our own breakfast and learn how to cook the traditional nasi goreng and tempe with the kind Wayan, one of the hosts. He was also helpful with any question we could have. We rented a scooter there, first it was an Honda Scoopy but since the claxon wasn’t working properly, we were given another Honda. Scooters are a must IMHO in Bali, unless you plan to stay in a resort and just relax. There were many “warungs” around the roundabout, just outside the house, so you have a great offer of local and super cheap dishes to choose from. We loved the martabak (a kind of delicious “flat spring roll”), chicken and lamb satay, nasi goreng, mie goreng and so on. Also there were some local shops were you could find from fruit, to bamboo crafts, clothes and so on. We had a great experience at the Nuaja and we really enjoyed being part of a local family house. So I recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a nice and affordable place around this area.

The owner is nice, friendly and hospitable. He can pick u up from the airport, what is very comfortable if u r first time here. The house is quite normal, but the location is not comfortable at all. The really problem is -the bathroom is not possible to use. When i arrive - was rain and bathroom was full of water. Water comes from the roof and to go there - u need probably waterproof shoes and umbrealla. Next day when rain finished - i found that shower anyway jot works. So u really can not have a shower! Also here is unbelievable durty inside. I think its not possible to stay like this. There is no conditioner and other small things what would be nice when u traveling, as a soap, shower gel, kettle, iron etc. For the same money i found really amazing hotel in the center of Ubud with all works. So cant suggest the place to you, guys.

The house was exactly like the pictures and the family was very friendly. The architecture of the house is beautiful, very traditional Balinese. They have several rooms there, most with AC, and comfortable beds. The family is very helpful, offering coffee or tea at all hours of the day and serving an included breakfast each morning. Newman was also very helpful in setting up transport and suggesting tours and places to visit while we were there. Just make sure you research prices before hand to make sure you're getting a good deal. Also, long term guest Diane was full of information about Bali and was very helpful as well. Overall this was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

The house is beautiful and very well detailled with wood- and stoneart of the outside. It's located next to a family temple and lies within a garden. The room itself and shower are very simple equipped and a bit dark, what is a pity and a huge contrast to the exterior. You'll be staying in a family area, everyone is very helpfull and nice, but it can sometimes be noisy. By scooter you'll be in the center of Ubud in about 10-15 minutes.
