It is located in the heart of the historic city center, in a peaceful area just a few steps away from the main points of interest, including via Fillungo, renowned for its shopping.

The apartment is located in the heart of Lucca’s historic city center ,in a quiet area,and has a view of the Giunigi tower which dates back to the Medieval period and is one of the most well-known towers in town.
Having been completely remodeled in 2012, the romantic apartment is equipped with the most modern conveniences. The décor is modern with the occasional antique here and there which perfectly blends in and enhances the overall design.
Restoration was done in such a way as to preserve the elegance and charm of the original architecture. The original high oak-beamed ceiling in the living room lends space and grandeur to the apartment. The bedroom is completely frescoed with 18th century paintings and there are beautiful views of the Guinigi tower from all of the large windows which also guarantee a bright interior.
These features make the apartment ideal for couples wanting to live an experience steeped in history and tradition in old and modern-day Lucca.
Entry to the apartment is on the 2nd floor. As this is a historic building, an elevator could not be installed. Therefore, a stay here would not be ideal for anyone with reduced mobility.

Terms & Conditions
1.1. the agreement is made between Aloi Paola Maria ,via Guinigi ,16 Lucca and Mrs and Mr.............
2.in exchange Mrs /Mr paying the total rental fee of ......(VAT included) Mrs Aloi agrees to rent the apartment located in Lucca, via Guinigi, 16, 2nd floor for the period from ...... to........ The booking agreement is at the above rate. Unless otherwise stated, bookings are for a minimum of 4 nights.
3. A deposit of 50% of the total rental price is payable at the time of booking and the balance is due no later than 8 weeks prior to the beginning of the rental period. For bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the beginning of the rental period, the full payment must be made.
4.The Booking Contract comes into effect when the owner or its authorized agent is in receipt of the full payment under item 1.2 hereof and when the client has received written confirmation by email or letter of booking.
5. Prior to the start of the rental period, the client will be sent the main information about the rental and apartment..
6.Cancellation charges will be levied as follows: 30% of the total price if cancellation is made 90 days prior to the beginning of the rental period; 50% of the total price if the cancellation is made between 90 and 60 days prior to the beginning of the rental period; full amount if cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to the beginning of the rental period. Cancellations must be made in writing and will be calculated from the date of receipt by the owner or its authorized agent.
7.If as a result of events outside the owner's control, the property is no longer available, the owner or its authorized agent will immediately notify the client and reimburse the client the full deposit.
8.A security deposit of 300€ cash is required upon arrival. The security deposit will be returned in full to the client upon completion of the inventory and the property inspection less any deductions for damages caused to the property, the internal and external furnishings, extra cleaning costs as contracted by the renter, and any extra expenses incurred during the holiday period and still outstanding at the date of departure.
9.For stays of 2 weeks or longer, cleaning will take place weekly after one week. Extra cleaning can be arranged for a fee .The price list is attached to this file. Please ask to local host for arrange the schedule with the maid.
10.The client should arrive between 4.00 and 7,00 pm ( extra 30 euro form 7 p.m until 9 p.m) and must check out the property by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Don't forget to leave the keys. An extra charge of 30 euro is due in case of lost keys.
11.The client should find the property in a clean and tidy condition upon arrival and he are expected to leave the apartment in a similar condition when you leave. This includes disposing of trash and doing the dishes. We thank you in advance for this courtesy. Please note that apartment left in an unusually dirty state will be subject to an additional cleaning charge of 60 euros deducted by your security deposit.
12.The number of people sleeping in the apartment must not exceed the number of 2. The occupation limits are set in line with the legal limits imposed by the local authorities. As such, any over occupancy is considered a serious infringement of the Terms and Conditions and can result in an immediate requirement to vacate the apartment with no refund of money due and possible further charges. We understand that you may wish to entertain while staying in your vacation rental. Should you wish to do so please ask us for details of the maximum number of visitors.
13.You agree that you will not use the Apartment for any dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or carry on there any act that might be a nuisance or annoyance to your neighbours. You will be responsible for all payments and for any damage whether caused by you or a member of your party and shall make your party fully aware of these Terms and Conditions.
14.At the apartment a telephone for free local calls is available. For other calls in Italy and the rest of Europe, the phone companies charge by the minute. We suggest to buy a mobile phone card at Tim or Vodafone agents when you arrive in Lucca. The apartment offers a high-speed internet access free of charge. It is possible that the system may not be compatible with your computer. If your computer needs to be re-configured, we can provide the name of a computer tech person who can set up the connection at your own expense
15.We do our best to provide completely non-smoking property and thank you for your consideration. You agree not to smoke or allow visitors to smoke inside the Property. Pets are not allowed.
16. Please alert us of any problem as soon as it is identified and every effort will be used to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. If we are not informed of a problem we cannot resolve it for you. While we cannot be held responsible for breakdowns of mechanical equipment in common area of the building or failure of public utilities, we will do our absolute best to resolve the problem in every way possible.
17.We reserve the right to enter the Apartment at any reasonable time for reasonable cause. This includes the need to undertake unforeseen (internal and external) remedial repairs. We will give you reasonable notice of such requirements
18.Please make sure your personal or travellers' insurance will cover you in the unfortunate event that you injure yourself in the property or if you become ill during your stay. In the unlikely event of theft or damage to person or personal belongings, fire, terrorist attack, civic unrest or other force majeure event the Apartment Owner is not responsible for direct or indirect harm suffered.
19.Personal Liability Security and Valuables: any lost property found after your departure from the Apartment will be retained for a period of 1 month. Although Lucca is a very safe city , all measures have been taken to ensure that the rental property is secure. It is your responsibility to make sure proper precaution is taken against theft and burglary including: dead-bolting the door and latching all windows whenever you are out. You are liable for any costs associated with a failure to follow these requirements.
20.Protecting the privacy of our clientele is an obligation that we take very seriously. We are committed to protecting all of your personal information. We do not rent, sell or distribute any part of your information collected to any third party organization.
21.In the event of any dispute concerning the terms and conditions of this contract, the law of Italy will have Jurisdiction.

Stefano and Paola, after leaving their managerial careers with large multinational companies, decided to turn their hobby into a profession. They first opened a small, charming hotel in Umbria,close to Todi (la Palazzetta del Vescovo then, Making the most of their experience, they decorated the apartment with the same care and attention to detail one normally dedicates to one’s own home and with the same level of comfort one would find in a luxury hotel.
