We arrived very late for our stay at Serenity, but Janelle gave us very good directions to find her place in the dark. Perfect little cute cabin to lay our heads for the night. Was very impressed with the cleanliness and everything was very thoughtfully laid out. The location was close off the Sterling Hwy which you can hear from outside of the cabin, but very quiet from inside. The cabin is right outside of their house but didn't bother us for our short stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Serenity cabin was a great place to get away. I wish I had been able.to stay longer. Has a great secluded feel but isn't super far from the amenities available in (URL HIDDEN) Janelle and her family were super friendly and I will absolute keep Serenity Cabin on my list of options when traveling down the Kenai penninsula in the future

The cabin was clean and quiet. Close to everything in (URL HIDDEN) You couldn't ask for a better place to stay.

This cabin is literally in their front yard. It faces their driveway and has absolutely no view except out of the bathroom window. They can see in the front window of the cabin from their house...only one person can shower if you want hot water. Disappointing.

Response from Janelle:
We are sorry to hear that you had a disappointing stay with us. Considering how vehemently you expressed that opinion on the first day, we were surprised that you continued to stay with us for the next three nights. Our cabin is not listed as a wilderness cabin in its description, and it does say that we share our yard with our guests; however, we respectfully disagree with your comment about there being "absolutely no view" from the cabin windows. Personally, we feel that the driveway's location gives convenient access to the cabin for our guests. Also, our cabin is advertised as a single room cabin with a bathroom. Due to the small size, the water heater only holds enough for a normal shower, but it does refill if given the chance.

Excellent cabin, perfectly setup with everything one could need for a cozy stay in Alaska. We even spotted a moose from the living room!

We just spent 5 nights at this adorable cabin & really enjoyed our stay. This quaint little cabin is very secluded & peaceful. However, it's a short distance from the main highway & only 5 miles from a shopping center. My wife & I cannot say enough nice/positive things about this place. We do plan to return to Alaska in the future & plan to stay here again!!

I'm a full time mother, work part time outside the house, and am a part time artist. Since my husband and I live in this beautiful setting and love to meet new people, we would love hosting you.

My husband, Paul, is a middle school teacher and a writer. He loves to talk about history, science fiction, fantasy, and a variety of topics.

I love to read, watch movies and TV shows, especially science fiction. I love cooking home style meals, I love many types of art, but I primarily create textile and mixed media art.

I love to travel, some of my favorite places are the area around Traverse City Michigan and The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Bad Lands in South Dakota, Yellowstone in Wyoming, and of course our beautiful state of Alaska.

When you come and stay with us we will treat you as part of the family. We are up for conversations and telling you about our area. We aim to meet your needs and to make your trip go smoothly. If you just want to be left alone to do your own thing that is okay with us as well.
