As we live in the home we ask that the music system volume is monitored and noise kept to a minimum after 10pm please. But we love hearing laughter!! Lots of the items in our space have been collected over many years and while not worth a lot, are treasured possessions. We simply ask that our guests enjoy them and take reasonable care. Happy for guests to use outdoor BBQ for cooking.

Jeanette and John's arty studio was a dream to stay in! On arrival we were met by Jeanette, who was kind and welcoming, and shown into the studio where candles were lit, music was playing and a platter was laid out ready for us to eat! The studio itself is very private with its own side walkway and outdoor dining area. You'd hardly know that there were people living above you for there was little noise and we were never bothered, though we knew Jeanette could be reached at any moment via text. The studio had everything we could possibly need and we were always kept warm by the radiator heater. We had such a wonderful time exploring all the unique little touches in the room and would most definitely stay here again! Thanks Jeanette and John! Xx

This was such a quirky, lovely place to stay! My partner and I were here for two nights, and we loved everything from the oddities spread around the room, the musical instruments, the candles, and the amazing smell of the place. It was a great base to explore the peninsula from, and it was fantastic to come back to a nice private room at the end of the day. Thank you very much!

Jeanette was a very friendly and welcoming host. She was very quick with responding and was able to give us good tips and advice for travelling around the area. The room was beautifully furnished with everything you need in there. It is very close to the hot springs and other nice coastal walks. Will definitely visit again!

Jeannete's place is a sanctuary, truly a home away from home. Just 15 minutes' walk to the back beach and a short drive to Rye town, this place has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing beach life. Jeannete's home is colourful, fun, creative, neat & there's an abundance of joy waiting for you in her back gardens! A place definitely not to miss!

When I arrived a did a little happy dance as the accommodation was more than I could have dream off.The artist studio was full of so many interresting items, the amount of books I could choose to read on the comfy couch in the evening were vast, eclectic range of music, the beautiful china to enjoy the wonderful range of specialist tea, the condiments for my toast supplied, home made jam devoured .The bathroom was vast with all you could need to spoil yourself, sented candles, soft bath mats ,cosy towels and do not get me started on the special touches a first aid kit, organic bug spray and room freshener I mean really!!! A secret haven walking distance to the ruged 16th beach and just down the road from the Peninsula Springs.I was here on business so it was nice to have piece and quite as most of my work was in the late evening, brillent location for star trails and night photography. The bed had lovely soft scented sheets and an excellent mattress, private garden stunning and well kept all in all my stay was 5 star and the hosts Jeanette and John wonderful genuine people .Thank you for making me smile every time I opened the door.
