This was a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the medina of Fes. This property is beautiful and well maintained. Full baths and air conditioning in each bedroom and a wonderful roof top terrace. But I would have to say the best part of the house was the house manger, Mrs. Loubna. She met us on the first day and helped us find a place to park our car, led us through the maze like medina to the house and got us settled in. Every morning she made us a delicious Moroccan breakfast. She made us feel right and home and went out of her way on many occasions ensure we had everything we needed. I cannot sing her praise enough. If you are traveling to Fes and would like to stay in the medina I definitely recommend this property.

Pascal's Riad is everything you dream it to be! The gorgeous aesthetic & attention to detail, cleanliness & service is impeccable. Pascal's communication was consistently timely & helpful. Mrs Loubna was so lovely, accomodating, professional and made our stay one to remember! Anything you need is possible ... tours, shopping, hammam & massage or special dining! The riad is gorgeous ... so much space and beautifully restored. The location is perfect. Close to restaurants, the old Medina sites & souks. It is also very quiet & a perfect oasis when you need to rest & recharge. We highly recommend staying at Dar Eva & we hope to return!

The house was lovely with gorgeous details and lots of character typical of a Moroccan dar. Three levels with a lovely terrace on the roof where Mrs. Loubna prepared us a nice breakfast every morning. One bedroom on the ground level with twin bed, and 2 bedrooms with king size beds on 2nd level, one more a master suite and the second smaller. Stairs are narrower and corkscrew, but not a problem for younger legs. Each bedroom had an AC so we had a lovely cool retreat at the end of the hot days. The medina can be a labyrinth but Mrs. Loubna and our driver from the airport coordinated to meet us just outside the medina where they had some locals with carts to carry our luggage in. It might seem overwhelming at first with all the twists and turns to find the house entrance tucked away down a corridor, but as long as you have someone in your group who is a capable navigator and you pay attention to which turns you take at each split, it was easy after the first couple times to navigate back to the house from the main medina road nearby. Our tour guide of the medina also showed us alternate routes back. Two of the main streets that feed into the other parts of the medina with the specific souks are an easy walk away. Pascal was super responsive via messages and email and helped arrange transport from the airport, wine for the house, and kept us updated about local contact phone numbers. Mrs. Loubna was super sweet and took care of us during our stay, from getting us sandwiches from a vendor when we were too tired to go out, to preparing us breakfast, tea and snacks.

Dar Eva is a fantastic Riad. It is just off one of the main streets in the Medina, but it is also quiet and secluded. Locals live in the adjoining properties, and they were kind and cordial on the street. Nadia, the Riad's governess, is great. Not only does she prepare a fantastic breakfast, but she also has been tips and suggestions for your stay in Fes. Three friends met in Fes and stay d at the Riad. Having space to spread out was nice, and Pascal was very helpful in arranging transport for our different arrival methods. Dar Eva is great find in the Fes medina!

In the heart of the Medina you will find a beautiful traditional riad with an open center. We suspect in winters the riad could be very cold. Room privacy could be an issue if more than one couple is staying here. Nadia is very helpful and promptly provides a nice breakfast every morning. We had an enjoyable stay in Fes.

Response from Pascal:
Thank you Rehan for your review. Regarding the private space of the rooms, we often receive up to six guests, and three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms ensure real intimacy, highly appreciated by our guests. For the winter season, the house has a very efficient fireplace and the three bedrooms have their own reversible air conditioning system (hot/cold). Additional electric radiators are available. But, despite all these elements of comfort, Dar Eva will always retain its medieval character, and that is all the charm and magic of the place.

The Dar Eva is a delightful apartment in the largest Medina in Morocco. It is hidden down a narrow alley. Nadia was there to answer all our questions and provided us with the traditional Moroccan breakfast on the terrace each monring. We are very glad we stay here and you will be glad too.
