The space

This is a custom designed home by an artist for artists - there is a story in every nook. It is a home intended to share with creatives and humans who appreciate and respect one another.

Please examine the photos and review the room descriptions as the house has one new Keetsa queen mattress, one new 4" foam queen mattress (extremely soft and wonderful), and one new full sized futon. I would be happy to make the futon up prior to your arrival upon request.

We look forward to hosting you!

Nick was very prompt in answering all our questions. We did not have the privilege of meeting him, but he responded to all our texts quickly. Although advertised to sleep 8, it was a bit of a stretch for 8 adults. The space was beautiful with so many interesting architectural touches. There was great outdoor decks, which, due to the weather, we could not enjoy.

We had a great stay at Nick's house in Bellingham. The house is clean and spacious. Decorations and furnishings are trendy but functional and comfy. Location is great - we walked back and forth to downtown Bellingham multiple times. Appreciated the solar panels and vegetative roof. Nick was very courteous and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Nick was such a great host! A group of friends and I wanted to stay a night in the town we all went to school and met. He was very communicative at all points of the way. If you love art and the mindfulness of DIY homes, I would recommend this home.

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip in Bellingham. For the first half hour of our arrival we were talking about how amazing and charming the house was. It's one of the most unique houses that I've been in while still being very functional! The house was within walking distance to the downtown area and Nick was a great host! The check in process was very simple and he was very willing to answer any and all questions! I would highly recommend renting this beautiful home!

A group of 6 friends spent the weekend here. There are too many good things to say about this place, but I can highlight that the house itself is charming, creative and incredibly useful. From the bbq to the fire pit and all the lovely sitting areas, we adored everything. The location was also prime. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted. The house had everything we needed as well, even did a load of laundry after we had a salty kayaking trip in the bay! Nick was available and timely with check-in info/questions, as well as a courtesy follow up (not to mention the wine and chocolate that greeted us!). We will definitely be coming back someday! Thanks for sharing your wonderful space with others.

Nick was very accommodating and super communicative during our stay. The house is super eclectic and fun. The upstairs bathroom, which features a skylight and plants was my favorite. There were 4 couples with our group and they stay worked out pretty well. There are actually only 2 true beds in the house. The 3rd bedroom is a futon which was pretty small. So we had to pick straws on who got the nice beds. It ended up working out just fine and everyone was comfy! The fire pit tee-pee area was an added bonus for bonfire fun! would definitely stay again.

Celebrated graduation in Bellingham and most of our family stayed at the house. The house was innovative and full of creative energy. It was a calming space for us to all gather at the end of days full of festivities. The space is playful all the way down to the swing chair and the bike pot rack. Nick made check in and check out a breeze. We wished we had more time to simply sit on the deck and read a book!

Traveling professional with a love for creative people and stories. I've been working for a sustainability think tank for the last several years while simultaneously rebuilding my house.

I travel light and support local business, and I believe in establishing strong connections quickly by a smile and a hug. Looking forward to sharing space.
