I'd just like to address a couple of the points you raised, but was happy to see that overall you had a good experience with us.
Preferred Check-in Time
When you are asked to give a preferred check-in time, it means you should state a time between our check-in hours, i.e. between 2pm and 10pm. Guests shouldn't give their preferred check-in time outside the stated hours. After all we are an apartment, not a hotel, and it would be difficult for us to grant early check-in time when we have other guests staying in the apartment. You can private message us on Airbnb requesting an early check in, but as we often get last minute bookings, even if the unit isn't reserved at the time of the request, we can't grant it until the evening before a guest's arrival.
Yes, your right. We could instruct Airbnb to deduct this fee from a guest's credit card at the time of their booking. However, from talking to guests we find that most Filipino guests prefer to pay the deposit in cash on arrival. The majority of our guests are local Filipinos and not overseas Filipinos like yourself. I realise in the USA things may be done differently.
We realise that the above points upset you and you clearly demonstrated your dissatisfaction to our manager. However, we feel you were probably nitpicking a bit with the other points. The great majority of our guests have had a wonderful stay in this unit.
