About this listing
You won't want to leave Shirlington Village during your stay in the DC area, there are so many shops, restaurants, a movie theater with reclining seats, lots of bars, and a 24 hour Harris Teeter grocery. Shuttle and bus terminal to metro. Right on beautiful bike path and river!
Loft with high ceilings, high end entertainment system, waking access to great restaurants and night life. Private room and bathroom on the bottom floor, access to fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Fitness center and pool in building. My room is the top floor loft, open to the rest of the apartment.
If you have more than 2 in your party, I have an air mattress or couch for an additional guest to set up in the living room.
Private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area, gym, pool, and lounge. Washer and dryer. If you have more than 2 guests, an air mattress is available for the living room. If I am on travel, the loft bedroom is also available, with second bathroom.
Interaction with guests
I work normal hours, like to go to bed by 10-11 pm, and since this is a loft style, sound travels. I would be happy to help orient and enjoy conversation. I travel often so the full place could be available for more guests on occasion.
Shirlington is one of those designed villages with high end restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, public transport hub, and right along the bike path that connects to 70 miles of trails along a river and the Potomac. You could even ride to DC without too much effort. There is a 24 hour Harris Teeter grocery store right below the apartment.
Free shuttle from 6-9 am and 5-7 pm to and from Pentagon City metro stop. Bus terminal also available throughout the day and evening. Easy access to 395 if you have a car and plenty of public parking.
Other things to note
This is a loft apartment with a den as a second bedroom. You will hear the sounds from the kitchen or living room if others are there. My bedroom is a loft upstairs and open to the living room area below. If I am not here, you can have more free reign of the apartment. The den/bedroom room sleeps 2, a third could sleep on the couch or an air mattress in the living room. The den doesn't have a door, so noises can travel.
I keep the place in great condition and cleanliness. Treat it like it was your own and you paid the rent. If you use the kitchen, clean up after. Keep the volume on the tv to a level that doesn't upset the neighbors. If you are planning on a night on the town, let me know, so that I can be prepared, etc.
Shoes are off when you come in the door. Food should remain in the kitchen and dining area.
Be social and also communicate your needs, and I'll do the same.
