"BelleVue" is French for "beautiful view" of lake "Belfast Lough". This 5-bedroom luxurious family home is located on a 5-acre block, down a private driveway, and remains hidden from public view. The house overlooks a tranquil lake (where Moyne River meets the ocean). The home is available during certain holiday periods, or upon private inquiry - the house may be available for hire even if it appears "unavailable" on the calendar for stays of 4+ nights.
Please note, this is a lived-in family home for the majority of the year and while we clear away most of our personal belongings this will not be completely 'empty' like a holiday home.

BEDROOM 1 + ENSUITE (1 x QUEEN + 1 x SINGLE)
This studio room functions as a separate bed and breakfast year-round, accommodating up to 4 guests on its own, with a fold-out mattress or portacot available to guests.
This large bedroom and sitting area has a comfortable queen bed plus a single bed (or day bed) in the same room. In addition, there are 2 rollable armchairs, a coffee table, TV, DVD, a collection of movies, basic kitchen facilities including bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, magazines and a "book swap" collection (feel free to swap the book you've been reading for a new book to take with you on your journey or to read during your stay).
The room connects to a private ensuite and walk-in-robe (this can be a good space for setting up a child's porta-cot, with sliding door separating the area off from the bedroom).
Your newly renovated ensuite has toilet, walk-in shower (possibly the best you'll ever have!) and a large vanity with mirror and ample storage.
This room is very private with its own deck entrance and lockable door, separating it from the remaining bedrooms. With spectacular views, this room is ideal for guests (or small families) wanting complete privacy, with all the necessities.
BEDROOM 2 (1 x QUEEN + 1 x SINGLE):
Huge room with loads of natural light through huge windows and private sliding door access outside to the front garden. The room has a super comfy queen bed and an additional single bed (during summer booking periods only), an armchair, TV and DVD player. There is additional space in this room for porta-cot or additional floor matress if required. This room has a lockable door, and can be shut off and made private to the remaining bedrooms if desired. No built-in wardrobes in this room.
BEDROOM 3 (1x QUEEN):
The third bedroom is newly painted and styled with a brand new queen bed, built-in wardrobes + desk. There is lovely light in this room, and views across the veggie patch towards the children's outdoor play equipment, trampoline and cubby house.
BEDROOM 4 (1 x DOUBLE + 1 x SINGLE):
This bedroom is set-up as a childs bedroom throughout the year but comfortably sleeps 3 adults in the double and single provided.
BEDROOM 5 (2 x SINGLES)
This beautiful children's bedrooms is fitted with two single beds, a huge built-in wardrobe with cupboards and a desk, and a lovely fish tank with light. The room has plenty of floor space for an additional mattress if required.
Includes bath shower, basin, vanity and storage. Close proximity to bedrooms 2, 3, 4 & 5 and used as the primary bathroom in the house. The separate toilet and bathroom are both lockable. Bath toys included for guests with kids.
OPEN PLAN LIVING & KITCHEN:
You'll love the main living area in our house. It's huge, functional, comfortable, cosy and has lovely views across our garden, paddock and the spectacular Belfast Lough and dunes. Perfect for families, for entertaining and interacting with guests, for dinner parties or just relaxing by the fire with a movie and a glass of wine.
Room includes 8-seater kid-friendly dining table, 2 x huuuuuuge and luxurious vintage-inspired couches to sink into, 1 x green leather armchair, entertainment system (TV, DVD player, Marantz music system and Bose speakers with bluetooth & CDs/DVDs library). There's a Telstra TV and DVD player in this main area, with unlimited access to Netflix, You Tube or Catch-Up TV channels of your choosing. And... the most glorious wood fire heater to snuggle up next to whilst enjoying a glass of red. There's an additional reverse cycle air conditioner - should you need it in summer.
The newly renovated kitchen is modern, functional and equipped with everything you could possibly need including fridge/freezer, five-burner gas Bosch cooktop, two-drawer dishwasher, brand new AEG oven, Miele convection microwave and 2nd standard microwave and an excellent DeLonghi coffee machine! You have access to all utensils, basic condiments and cooking supplies during your stay. The island bench makes it easy to cook, entertain and enjoy each other's company.
2nd LIVING SPACE / PLAYROOM / MUSIC ROOM / LIBRARY.
This multi-purpose space offers a perfect additional living space for large groups or families. It is the perfect room to escape to and read whilst perched the window seat (it's the best view in the house!). Or close the glass doors and let the children roam free while the adults enjoy the main living area (loads of games, kids books, children's DVDs and crafts to keep them entertained). Or treat it as a second space for the guys to watch footy or the girls to watch a rom-com, with their own TV and couch!
We have a gorgeous baby grand piano for the musicians amongst you that guests are welcome to play, and a quality guitar for use with care. This room has its own reverse cycle air conditioning.
Includes washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, indoor hanging racks and large outdoor clothesline. Use of washing detergents and laundry facilities is complimentary.
You have access to a lovely garden, children's play area (including cubby, slide, trampoline, climbing ladder, monkey bars, etc.), BBQ and multiple outdoor sitting areas with extensive 6-meter Redgum outdoor table overlooking the Lough. There are many places to picnic around Port Fairy. We've included a pack with picnic supplies and blanket.
You are a 4km or 5-minute drive by car from the center of town, or you can ride bikes directly from the house to town on a beautiful sealed 'Rail Trail' and bike path which extends from Warrnambool to Port Fairy (via Koroit). Bikes can be hired, just let me know. For active guests, there is a yoga mat and we also have a treadmill available. If you'd like it to be set up during your stay please let us know.
All areas of the house will be accessible to guests (including garage) apart from the outdoor shed.
Interaction with guests
Keys will be left in a lock box for guests to self check-in. Please arrange a meeting time if you would like to be shown around the house upon arrival, however this may not be possible at certain times of the year.
Other things to note
Additional floor mattresses and porta-cot are available - additional $30/night with bedding provided or $15 without bedding (allowing a MAXIMUM of 15 guests). Please advise of all guest staying (including babies and children) when booking.
Feel free to swap the book or magazine you've been reading for a new one to take with you on your journey or to read during your stay.
Space will be cleared for guests to use in all rooms of the house, including pantry space, cupboard space, wardrobe space, etc. However this is a family home for the majority of the year, and for this reason cupboards will not be completely emptied. All goods in the house are expected to be left in the same condition that they were found in. Happy for you to use everyday condiments as you wish. Computers are not to be used under any circumstance but you're welcome to bring Laptops and hook into the WIFI.
This is a huge house and chews through the power. Please turn lights off behind you, use reverse-cycle air conditioners sparingly and use the dryer and hot water in laundry wash cycles only if necessary - much appreciated!
Animals are allowed upon individual request. There is a fence and gateway surrounding the entire house, however it is not completely "dog proof" (particularly for smaller animals) - please bring animals at your own risk. There is an additional one-off $100 fee per animal per stay, with a maximum of 2 dogs at any time (we have neighbours with chooks, kangaroos in the paddock and a horse - it is only fair that the neighbours privacy is respected in relation to pets).
PET COW & KANGAROOS:
We have a friendly pet Jersey Cow. Feel free to give "Pippa" a pat. She is very friendly however guests are responsible for their own safety and all animals can be unpredictable so please keep this in mind before approaching. The Kangaroos are in the paddock most days. They too are used to guests being around, but please respect them, as they are wild animals.
Gumboots, umbrellas and jackets available in all shapes and sizes so just ask if you need something.
There are bikes available during your stay. 2 adult bikes with helmets and a lock will be left out for your enjoyment. Please advise if other bikes are wanted...
Please respect that this is a PRIVATE HOME for the majority of the year, and that all goods in the house are expected to be left in the same condition that they were found in.
COMPUTERS are not to be used. Please bring your own laptop if you require computer access. Free WIFI accessible.
PETS: +$100/pet/booking. Dogs only (2 maximum). Allowed inside on hard floor surfaces only, if supervised and house trained! Dogs must sleep in garage, outdoor kennel, or in laundry (if necessary).
ANIMALS on the property are to be respected at all times. The cow is friendly and can be patted, but you do so at your own risk. I can take no responsibility for the behaviour of animals towards guests.
NO SMOKING indoors - outdoor smoking acceptable, provided all butts are disposed of respectfully and emptied daily into outdoor rubbish bins.
BOOK SWAP - only take a book if you're prepared to leave one behind.
NO PARTIES or EVENTS with "non-guests" (unless arranged privately with the owner).
Children must be SUPERVISED on PLAY EQUIPMENT at all times. The owner takes no responsibility for injuries to children on the property.
