Location is incredible! The views and tranquility of the cabin are incredible. We had such a wonderful stay. The cabin is so cozy, the bathrooms are very nice, the deck is perfect for early morning coffee or dinner with the grill. Only comments to new renters - don't take the 4WD caution lightly. The road is steep and rocky/dirt so it's strongly recommended to have 4WD and a higher sitting car (so you don't scrape on rocks). Also, there is no ESPN so if you are planning to catch College Game Day during your weekend stay - you are out of luck. But then again, we are probably the small population that actually used the TV during our stay. :)

We booked the "Rileyville" cabin but were offered a swap for the "Moonshine" cabin and so this is a review for that. It has spectacular views and feels very isolated - no other cabins in sight. You will need a rugged car to get up the hill. (We had an AWD SUV and it was fine.) Each day we drove into Shenandoah to do a hike and also visited the nearby Luray Caverns. House was clean; kitchen and bathrooms were modern; beds were comfortable. High speed Internet worked fine. The igniter for the gas grille out back did not work and we needed to light a piece of paper and stick it down there to ignite the burners - a long-nosed lighter might be a good thing to bring. Hot tub under stars was very nice. A lot of bugs during our trip (April) in part because pool cover had rainwater puddles on it that was a breeding ground.

Great place!!! Awesome for a relaxing weekend! Hot tub did take a few try's to heat up and the road up to the house was very steep- would suggest 4 wheel drive- but a great weekend get away!!
