Great QUIET neighborhood home with 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths, fully stocked kitchen, large open living space and huge covered deck with gas grill!
Since I cannot correct misstated reviews per Airbnb rules:

The house is a duplex with a walkout basement. Where you are staying is completely separate, no access between units. Nothing is shared

Description

The space

Centennial Solar House:

This Solar Powered house is set up as a duplex, it is a ranch with a walkout basement. You are looking at the entire first floor and it is completely separate. There is no access between what you are booking and the walkout basement.

You will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living areas, kitchen and an outdoor covered deck. It’s about 1500 square feet in total.

I do not charge for extra guests (please include total in your booking) but this home is limited to six (6) people including children. Six is really all the house can handle:-)

There is a whole house fan, it is controlled wirelessly. If you are unfamiliar with a whole house fan, it pumps massive amounts of air out of the house from a central location. Just open the windows and turn it on. You’ll have breeze coming in from every direction. It’s great to cool the place off in a flash at night. In Colorado it cools down rapidly just before sunset. (note: if you are going to be out after dark, bring a light jacket!)

Regarding Air Conditioning: Because the whole house fan is so effective I rarely use the window AC. If you LOVE a 60 degree house in the summer, this is probably not the right place for you.

I listed gym only because I do have some weights. Alternately you can go to 24 Hour Fitness nearby. Also note that I list Hot Tub in the listing as there is a genuine Jacuzzi Jet tub in the main bathroom.

I have opted to not charge a cleaning fee, please help me out by cleaning up after yourself. If the home looks as it did when you arrived, you can expect a 5 star review.

I wash/bleach all bedding before every guest arrives.

If there is anything I can reasonably provide for you please ask and I will try. I have traveled the world and love it when I can eliminate items from my luggage because my host is able accommodate my request.

I provide coffee, tea, half and half – usually there is something to eat on hand. Let me know if you have a specific food/drink request. I have accounts set up with King Soopers and Walmart. If you are staying an extended time, I can have essentials delivered right to the door!

Master Bedroom: 150 sq feet (12x12.5) with private bathroom & shower, queen sized bed, dresser, bedside tables with lamp, full length mirror on back of the door.

“Euro” Room: 115 sq feet (11.5x10) with shared bathroom, full sized bed, bedside tables with lamp, full length mirror on the back of the door - This room includes a desk if you require laptop workspace.

“Yellow” Bedroom: 115 sq feet (11.5x10) with shared bathroom, queen sized bed, bedside tables with lamp, desk, full length mirror on the back of the door. This room includes a desk if you require laptop workspace.

The Kitchen

The Bathrooms

Two fully appointed bathrooms, each containing: Toilet, Shower, Bathtub, Vanity with basin, and Extended mirrors.

Interaction with guests

If everything goes well, you most likely won't need to interact with me. Some guest are quite social and like interactions, others prefer to keep to themselves with minimal contact. Both are fine.

The neighbourhood

Walnut Hills is a very quiet neighborhood, one of those neighborhoods you hope your kids grow up in - the house is on a very quiet residential street with neighbors that look out for each other.

It's a neighborhood that is centrally located in the Denver Tech Center (DTC), with a Sprouts, Kings Soopers, and Target only 5 minutes away.

Little Dry Creek park is a nice running/walking/biking route
5 minute walk to outdoor tennis courts at the local school
Fiddler's Green is about a 15 minute walk
Light rail is about a 15 minute walk, less by bike (borrow ours)
10 minute walk to public library – get a temp card
15 minute drive Park Meadows Mall
25 minute drive downtown Denver
Easy access to the foothills, Red Rocks, via C-470

Getting around

From Denver International Airport (DIA):
1. 30min (26.5 miles) driving from DIA without traffic.
2. Bus (AT) every 60 min from DIA.
3. We also provide airport pickup and drop-off for $30/one way up to 3 guests (ask me for details).

We will help assist you as best we can in getting here.

Everything Else:
Very easy access to I-25 and C-470
Light rail is most convenient at the Arapahoe Station stop
Uber and Lyft operate in the area with cars usually just a few minutes away.
Rental car companies like Avis, Enterprises, Budget are only couple miles away

We are a shoe free house to keep the carpets clean.

I usually have bikes for my guests use, ask in your message to me if it is important to you!

If you're anything like me, you'll forget something in your mad dash back to the airport. Don't worry - this has happened before and we always find a way to get your prized possessions back into your hands.

I have a link to a Gmap with grocery, dining, gyms, ATM, emergency, breweries, bars and car rentals to name a few. I have been to all places listed and recommend them - I can share the link after you book since URL links are blocked before booking.

That said here is the fine print:

CENTENNIAL SOLAR HOUSE RULES

Check-in is at 4pm, and check-out is by 11am. That said we are very flexible. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first. Usually, we can coordinate a time that works for both of us.

To be considerate we kindly ask to keep things on the quieter side after 10pm.

Due to previous problems (and we’re sure this doesn’t relate to you…) we’ve needed to implement a minimum age requirement of 21+. Guests under the age of 21 are still entirely welcome – they will just need to be accompanied by parents or guardians and cannot be left alone on the property. Must be at least 25 years old to book unless discussed and approved prior to booking.

If you’re coming to Denver/Fiddlers Green/Red Rocks to party you’ve picked a great city to do so. Unfortunately, just not at our place. Though we’re sure it won’t come to it, serious complaints of unruly behavior will, unfortunately, result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for us.

We ask that you kindly respect our maximum occupancy requirement of six people, including children, and three vehicles. This really is all the house can handle, we’ve tested it! We have this in place instead of an additional guest charge in an attempt to keep costs down for you. If you have more vehicles I need to know so we can discuss. My neighbors need parking too.

This is a friendly neighborhood and we are friends with our neighbors, so respect for them is important to us.

We love animals and even have a dog and a cat on the property. However, because many guests are allergic and/or sensitive to animals we don’t allow any pets in the Airbnb. Our pets are not allowed in the Airbnb at any time. If you’d like a little doggie/kitty time let us know and we can arrange an outdoor visit on the deck.

To ensure we keep the carpets are clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a no shoes policy inside our home.

What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our place we require that you do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property. This includes using the internet connection in any way that is illegal or against our provider’s terms of service. To be clear, we have a strict no drug use policy. This is just the law… not so much one of our rules.

Mike's place was very clean, and such a spacious and comfortable place to stay while visiting family close to Denver. Very warm and welcoming guy, he even stopped by to fix the cable when we were having difficulties. Perhaps the rule list was a bit much, but he never came across as rude or overbearing and his requests were ultimately understandable. Most definitely recommended.

Thank you so much Mike for letting us stay in your beautiful abode. The way you've impeccably maintained & arranged everything in the apartment, definitely needs a mention. In fact we've also started pondering upon implementing the energy efficient ecofriendly approaches , in our apartments, similar to what you've at your place. Starting from comfortable beds to the wide variety of books in your collection or the wonderful collection of wines could only deserve praises. We also got to meet and play with your puppy, he's so friendly. I must also thank you for being so kind to receive us late at night and walking us thru every bits and pieces of the house and also showing interest in planing our trip better. Over all it was a delightful experience. We'd be humbled if you allow us to have the same experience if we ever get an opportunity in future. Wish you a joy filled 2017 ahead..!!

My friends and I came to Centennial to play Top Golf. Mike was an excellent resource for places to check out during our down time and was very friendly. The house is comfortable and was very clean and is in a great neighborhood. His house runs on solar power which was also very cool. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying in the Centennial area.

Mike is a great host, he's friendly and has all instructions prepared for you prior to your arrival. The house itself is very clean and he has a master bed room in the house which is really nice. The Internet is fast and he has direct tv! His location is close to sprouts, target and whole foods. I would definitely stay here again and recommend people to book early!
