About this listing

Great QUIET neighborhood home with 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths, fully stocked kitchen, large open living space and huge covered deck with gas grill!
Since I cannot correct misstated reviews per Airbnb rules:
1) DirectTV with 200+ channels.
2) I now have an AUGUST door lock, this means you need no key
3) I DO NOT need access to your living space while you are here.
The house is a duplex with a walkout basement. Where you are staying is completely separate, no access between units. Nothing is shared

The space

Centennial Solar House:

This Solar Powered house is set up as a duplex, it is a ranch with a walkout basement. You are looking at the entire first floor and it is completely separate. There is no access between what you are booking and the walkout basement.

You will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living areas, kitchen and an outdoor covered deck. It’s about 1500 square feet in total.

I do not charge for extra guests (please include total in your booking) but this home is limited to six (6) people including children. Six is really all the house can handle:-)

Regarding Air Conditioning: The house has AC. HOWEVER, IF you LOVE a 60 degree house in the summer, this is probably not the right place for you.

I listed gym only because I do have some weights. Alternately you can go to 24 Hour Fitness nearby. Also note that I list Hot Tub in the listing as there is a genuine Jacuzzi Jet tub in the main bathroom.

I have opted to not charge a cleaning fee, please help me out by cleaning up after yourself. If the home looks as it did when you arrived, you can expect a 5 star review.

I wash/bleach/steam all bedding before every guest arrives.

If there is anything I can reasonably provide for you please ask and I will try. I have traveled the world and love it when I can eliminate items from my luggage because my host is able accommodate my request.

Master Bedroom: 150 sq feet (12x12.5) with private bathroom & shower, queen sized bed, dresser, bedside tables with lamp, full length mirror on back of the door.

“Euro” Room: 115 sq feet (11.5x10) with shared bathroom, full sized bed, bedside tables with lamp, full length mirror on the back of the door - This room includes a desk if you require laptop workspace.

“Monroe” Bedroom: 115 sq feet (11.5x10) with shared bathroom, queen sized bed, bedside tables with lamp, desk, full length mirror on the back of the door. This room includes a desk if you require laptop workspace.

The Kitchen

Fully appointed, stocked kitchen
Microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, blender, coffee machine, toaster, drinking glasses, coffee mugs, pots, pans, flatware plates and everything else you need to cook an amazing meal!
Access to a Vitamix can be negotiated!

The Bathrooms

Two fully appointed bathrooms, each containing: Toilet, Shower, Bathtub, Vanity with basin, and Extended mirrors on the doors.
The Master Bath offers a shower.
The Main Bath features a genuine Jacuzzi Jet Tub and shower.

Interaction with guests

If everything goes well, you most likely won't need to interact with me. Some guest are quite social and like interactions, others prefer to keep to themselves with minimal contact. Both are fine.

We are a shoe free house to keep the carpets clean.

Being a family home, we also have a no smoking policy. This includes marijuana and vaporizing - inside or outside – on the front porch or back deck – anywhere on the property.

I usually have bikes for my guests use, ask in your message to me if it is important to you!

If you're anything like me, you'll forget something in your mad dash back to the airport. Don't worry - this has happened before and we always find a way to get your prized possessions back into your hands.

I have a link to a Gmap with grocery, dining, gyms, ATM, emergency, breweries, bars and car rentals to name a few. I have been to all places listed and recommend them - I can share the link after you book since URL links are blocked before booking.

It's all pretty much common sense!
+ Even if Instant Book is on, please read the entire listing before booking and message me that all looks good. You'll see why I ask at the end!
+ We cannot be on-site 24/7 so your working Apple or Android phone is necessary to communicate about the house, entry and any other issue that may arise. We try VERY hard to be assessable and need you to be also.
+ Being a family home, we have an absolute no smoking policy. This includes marijuana and vaporizing - inside or outside – on the front porch or back deck – anywhere on the property.
+ Also, it's a very quiet neighborhood so no parties. (or unregistered visitors)
+ Quiet please after 10PM - including outside, especially the deck.
+ No overnight guests that did not check in with you. (6 people max))
+ We do not have the necessities considered necessary for children.
+ Please tell me about yourself and trip to Denver
+ I do host people without any reviews but tell me about yourself!!
+ Oh and by the way, Airbnb blocks any kind of personal contact information such as telephone numbers and email before you pay. Don’t send it, I won’t be able to see it.

That said here is the fine print:

CENTENNIAL SOLAR HOUSE RULES

Check-in is at 4pm, and check-out is by 11am. That said we are very flexible. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first. Usually, we can coordinate a time that works for both of us.

To be considerate we kindly ask to keep things on the quieter side after 10pm.

Due to previous problems (and we’re sure this doesn’t relate to you…) we’ve needed to implement a minimum age requirement of 21+. Guests under the age of 21 are still entirely welcome – they will just need to be accompanied by parents or guardians and cannot be left alone on the property. Must be at least 25 years old to book unless discussed and approved prior to booking.

If you’re coming to Denver/Fiddlers Green/Red Rocks to party you’ve picked a great city to do so. Unfortunately, just not at our place. Though we’re sure it won’t come to it, serious complaints of unruly behavior will, unfortunately, result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for us.

We ask that you kindly respect our maximum occupancy requirement of six people, including children, and three vehicles. This really is all the house can handle, we’ve tested it! We have this in place instead of an additional guest charge in an attempt to keep costs down for you. If you have more vehicles I need to know so we can discuss. My neighbors need parking too.

This is a friendly neighborhood and we are friends with our neighbors, so respect for them is important to us.

We love animals and even have a dog and a cat on the property. However, because many guests are allergic and/or sensitive to animals we don’t allow any pets in the Airbnb. Our pets are not allowed in the Airbnb at any time. If you’d like a little doggie/kitty time let us know and we can arrange an outdoor visit on the deck.

To ensure we keep the carpets are clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a no shoes policy inside our home.

What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our place we require that you do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property. This includes using the internet connection in any way that is illegal or against our provider’s terms of service. To be clear, we have a strict no drug use policy. This is just the law… not so much one of our rules.

I have stayed at Mike's on a repeat basis and I am a worldwide user of AirBnb and an early adopter. He is a first class guy and operates a first class operation. His home is offered virtually exclusively for AirBnb guest and he takes guest service very seriously including upgrading his home with AC which in Denver is not a necessity, steam cleans his carpet routinely, and keeps buying new kitchen appliances for his guest to be responsive to guest comments and needs. Great place, will definitely be back sooner than later!!

Everything about this house was to our liking. It was in a quiet neighborhood, and the back porch was very private, with trees all around and the birds singing; you can sit there at any time of day in your pajamas reading a book. We stayed during the month of July, and the air conditioning was welcome during the day but not needed in the cool, dry summer nights in Colorado. The house was perfectly located for a family wedding we were attending in Littleton, but also very close to Denver and less than 2 hours from Rocky Mountain National Park. Mike's house was EXTREMELY clean. He had also stocked the refrigerator with soda and water and condiments, and the kitchen included other essential foodstuffs and any type of pan you'd need for baking or cooking. The gas grill on the porch was great to have, too. There were other little extras, like charging cords for either an iPhone or an Android already plugged in and ready to use in the bedroom. There was an iron available in each of the 3 bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. The electronic lock for the front door is really a great invention (you can open the door using your phone; the lock is set to be active on your phone from check-in time to check-out time), or you can use a key or a digital keypad. The Direct TV service was nice to have, even though we rarely used it. There was a bookcase with all types of reading material in the house, in addition to several "coffee table" books relating to Colorado. Mike himself is a very interesting guy to talk to, as he's lived in a lot of places, is knowledgeable about many subjects, and is retired Air Force. We had a great experience here, along with our nephew and his fiancee. Though there were only 4 of us, 6 people could use this house very comfortably. Mike's house is exactly as described, except the cleanliness, which exceeded expectations. His house is meticulously maintained, the neighborhood is calm and quiet, and close to many shopping centers. He is generous I enjoyed our stay.

One thing I didn't realize was that the owner lived in the other part of the house. We had gone to a wedding and returned to find the windows open. This was a bit of a surprise since we had locked up the house prior to leaving. I've never stayed at a house that the owner lived in as well. Accessing him was really easy, but it was kind of unsettling to return to a house where your personal belongings were and windows with no screens wide open. Maybe the listing stated he lived there and I just didn't notice it. He was a friendly host and even got us donuts on our departure day. If you don't mind the owner being there, I would highly recommend this house.

I am onsite, I am NOT in your space unless I have prior permission. The AC is now installed.
