Luxurious glamping with hot tub at Middle Stone Farm on the Somerset/Devon border, this tent is called Kestrel. Placed on a farm with views of Exmoor and the Quantock hills and farm animals. Posh camping with ensuite flushing loo and shower within the tent structure - you don't have to go outside to go to the bathroom! Each tent sleeps up to 6 people and a travel cot can be squeezed in too. We have three tents in the field, not too close together. Wood fired hot tubs available.
This is a luxury safari tent sleeping six people with a king bed, twin singles and a double cabin bed. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area and private ensuite shower and wash room inside the Cooking and warmth is from a wood burning stove. Hot water for the shower and basin is from a wood boiler in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. There is a barbecue outside, a hammock and outside eating area.
The tent is entirely yours for the duration of your stay. There are three tents in the glamping field so there may be other guests staying in neighbouring tents.
Interaction with guests
We live in the farmhouse and run two holiday cottages as well as the glamping We are always around the farm to answer any questions guests may have if you need us. Otherwise we leave you in peace.
Other things to note
There are three glamping tents in the field with a good space between for privacy between guests. We have a shop on site where we sell sausages and bacon from our pigs, locally made sourdough bread, local apple juice and all other kinds of things. The shop is closed in the winter.
No smokers I'm afraid. It is strictly no smoking in the tent or anywhere at the farm.
Check-in time is 4PM until 1hr before sunset (ie 7.30ish in September). Check out time is 10am.
Please do not feed the animals or wander in fields outside of the glamping without asking us.
We welcome groups of friends, couples and families. We do allow hen and stag gatherings but PLEASE contact us to discuss this first. We have a strict noise curfew after 10pm and we're not a place for wild parties I'm afraid.
If you are coming with children, please watch them in the playground or around the farm and do not let them out of your sight. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Catherine and I run our holiday cottages and glamping business with my husband Patrick. We live at the farm with our three lively children, flock of chickens, 40 rare breed sheep, 18 geese, 16 alpacas, 7 goats, 3 pigs (frequently turned into sausages), a dog - Molly and a small tortoise!
We feel privileged to live in such a gorgeous corner of West Somerset and are happy to share our farm with visitors.
