This is a give and take type of experience for us. I chose this property because of the superb location and the two 2 beds it offered. We were a party of 3 adults and I wanted to make sure we had beds and not cots or futons - most other properties say they sleep up to 3 or 4 but 1 -2 of those bedding option is a pull out couch or futon. The location is amazing! We were about 2 blocks/ 5 mins. walk away from one of the main underground trains (Earls Court station), along that street are tons of dining options. About 1 block/ 3 min walk is the closest Sainsbury / London's main supermarket, incase you needed toiletries, water, food for day trips, etc. I couldnt ask for a better location. My only issue would be the wifi, which was really difficult to get most of the time. This was frustrating as we relied on the connection to look up travel information, where to eat, and just about any other travel inquiries to make our trip more convenient. Overall, I would recommend this unit to anyone traveling to London. we had a good experience here. Thanks Sara for making this trip affordable and so convenient.

Sarah's place was nice and clean. The neighborhood was also nice and there is a couple stations close by.

This apartment is NOT as described! We don't expect perfection when traveling, but we do expect truth in advertising. The place is much smaller and shabbier than it appears in the picture. A skillful photographer has cleverly hidden the flaws that make the place feel run down and frankly, depressing! Here are details - not to tear it apart or be mean, but to warn others and to hopefully inspire 'Sarah' to make some improvements. Balcony: The photo on the website shows an open-air balcony however, there are now cheap wood panels that make you feel like you're in a cargo shipping box that block those views. We wanted to experience London, not be hemmed in. Room: We chose this place because it has two sizable beds, however the beds take up most of the room. If you have four people with suitcases, there won't be enough space for you to store them. There are no suitcase stands (I improvised and put mine on an ironing board) and we were constantly tripping over our stuff that we had to place in the hallway. The lighting is one dim bulb in the ceiling which casts a depressing, low level glow at night. There is a small task lamp on the table but it is not good for creating any ambience. Kitchen: We had planned to cook to save money, but NO! First of all is no silverware provided -- no spoons, knives or forks! A couple of plates and cups and a pot or two is not a stocked kitchen. Also, the kitchen was overrun by ants....ants everwhere that crawled all over the floor and onto our beds! Beds: The beds themselves are ok, but the mattresses are thin and you can feel the springs beneath you. Don't expect the decorative pillows that you see in the picture. Bathroom: Oh boy....where to begin. It's cramped and lighting is so dim that you better bring a flashlight if you want to see anything with detail. There is no toilet paper holder so you're constantly reaching behind you to grab the loose roll on the back of the toilet, which inevitably falls on the floor (it would be so simple to install a holder)! There is no electric outlet in the bathroom, so ladies, if you want to dry or style your hair in front of the mirror you're out of luck. I had to dry my hair in the kitchen (sans mirror) along with the ants. The shower stall is so incredibly tiny that if you're at all a person of size it might literally be impossible for you to fit in it let alone turn around. Also, had a terrible time figuring out the right configuration of buttons so we didn't scald or freeze ourselves. Also, not enough hot water for three, let alone four. Location: This is really the only advantage of the place. It is in the heart of the Kensington area and closest to the Earl's Court tube...

Great location and lovely apartment. Slightly musty smelling, but that's a small problem as long as you leave the balcony doors opened. Having a table and some chairs, under an umbrella, on the balcony is a pleasant surprise. We had breakfast every morning on the balcony. Sarah is great, very detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment even though she was out of town. Sainsbury supermakret is really only a minute away (turn right once you leave the apartment), and the popular Golden Tours is next to it, so you can easily take the hop-on-hop-off bus from there... Or to buy discounted West End tickets if you want to catch a play or a musical.

To begin with, the area is ideal! The neighbourhood is usually quiet and very close to lots of amenities. Located between Gloucester Rd Station and Earls Court Station, it was really easy to get around London via the Underground tube (I recommend using Earls Court station if you have luggage since the station has lifts and is a quieter and more direct walk than Gloucester Rd Station). As for the apartment itself, we really liked how light the place is thanks to the large windows and appreciated having a double bed to ourselves. The apartment has the basic amenities that we needed (good shower, mini fridge, stove top, washer, TV). The apartment though seemed to have a musty smell during our stay. It seemed to be coming from the curtains so whilst in the apartment, we made sure to always keep the balcony windows wide open to air out the place and also bought air freshener to spray everyday. In regards to the host Sarah, I appreciated her detailed instructions to locate the apartment from the tube and also how to get the key from the safe box nearby and we also appreciated her prompt communication, especially in regards to the first night when there was a mix up with the keys (third party at fault). Sarah quickly organised for another smaller apartment nearby to be used that first night and promised to refund part of the money back for that first night due to the hassle that we went through and the downgrade. However, having said that, it has been 3 weeks already and we have NOT received any refund which I'm very dissatisfied with. I have sent multiple messages to Sarah asking about the refund, and all I've gotten in reply was that she would look into it 'today' and get back to me... Overall, the apartment is pleasant (although the curtains do need to be freshened up) and is located in a great area! Apart from not receiving the aforementioned refund, Sarah was prompt with her communication and very polite to deal with.

Thankyou Sarah for a great stay. We were not disappointed. Location, amenities and cleanliness were excellent. The apartment was bigger than expected and the balcony was a real bonus!
