I would start by saying that my husband and I are Citizens of the World and simply epicureans... We are both born and raised in France, I'm from Paris (yeah, one of them nasty Parisians..;), he is from Brittany (West coast of France, the Celtic part). As much as we love our country, there'sa ' je ne sais quoi ' in the US that made us finally move here permanently. I could explain in great details this ' I don't know what ' but for that, we’ll have to sit down and share a glass of wine…
We have lived in France, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and travelled extensively to Asia, namely India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Japan where we studied languages, cooking and massages (Asia). Each country, each trip is a wonderful encounter with a different part of life, a different people, a different part of our world. The beauty in this life is everything that is new and different. Cultures, languages, music, art, ethnic food: that’s what would best describe what we think life is about. Today, settling down in Kansas City and opening our home is one way of travelling while standing still by meeting our future guests, listening to their story if they feel like sharing it, or just by offering our guests a beautiful and peaceful place to stay for a while, respecting their privacy and attending to their needs as best we can.
