Cute cottage in the historic Piedmont neighborhood of Portland. Near the Peninsula Park Rose Garden and walking distance to the Max light rail train.

The space

Welcome to your retreat in the city. Our little back cottage is quiet and peaceful, in a nice residential neighborhood, yet close to public transportation and all that the city has to offer.

A beautiful historic rose garden is steps away from your front door. The Max light rail is a ten minute walk and two bus lines run very close by.

Walk or bike to the Mississippi Arts district, cool coffee shops, brew pubs, food carts and great restaurants.

The cottage has a comfortable full size bed and a nice size bedroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. A love seat hide-away in the front room turns into a bed. Or simply relax and watch cable TV or browse the internet. Laundry is on site.

The kitchen is small, but fully equipped. If you need anything, we're right next door.

The space is lovely and the neighborhood quiet but close to the arts and crafts area which had loads of lovely restaurants to try. The bed is comfy and the pullout sofa too albeit but not for too long. Our hosts were kind enough to leave us a bottle of very lovely wine which was most appreciated.

Marvin and Shaun are caring, communicative hosts and we highly recommend staying at their Kerby Cottage. Our stay was wonderful. This was an awesome jumping off point to bike to a bunch of the best spots on Alberta and Mississippi with my husband and our small dog.

Great, great place! The tiny house offers a lot of privacy, close to transit, close to a REALLY amazing park-- a perfect portland stay really.

A great place to stay. It is a block away from a beautiful rose park. Public transportation is close by and takes you to downtown Portland. The apartment was clean and well stocked. We had privacy but the hosts were readily available. We will definately stay there again when we return to Portland.

We stayed for two nights with our two dogs. This quaint little cottage has everything you need. We loved that there were small enclosed areas in the front and back, the dogs loved being able go in and out. There is also a wonderful park a half a block away were we could walk them. Marvin texted us before arrival for check in instructions and to let us know he could be contacted by text anytime. All in all, it was a pleasant stay :)

The little Kerby Cottage was so sweet and perfect for 1 or 2 people. Close to bus lines and across the street from a big park. Quiet but close enough to nightlife that all the conveniences were available. I particularly liked all the little touches of consideration like a roll of doggie bags if you brought your fur-baby and ran out, no problem. Or if you forgot your toothpaste or shampoo, already covered. The place was clean and had more than enough supplies. Shaun and Marvin were sweet and kind but not nosey. I barely knew they were there. I would definitely stay there again.

We are located in North Portland, near the MAX, which is our train line system, we are 1 block from a historical park, Peninsula. It is the most beautiful park in the city, I think. We are near a bike boulevard, dedicated to bicyclist. We are 10 minutes on bike to downtown and have neighborhoods very close that are fun to walk or bike. Mississippi district is one of them and Alberta is the other. We have a great neighborhood and like to think of ourselves as open-minded, fun people.
