Very comfortable alcove space in a luxurious pre-war building off Park Avenue, immaculately clean and filled with beautiful antiques. Entire apartment overlooks gardens and is extremely quiet. Murray Hill Historical District location is divine! HIGHLY CENTRAL LOCATION within walking distance of the most popular destinations of Manhattan -- Grand Central Station, The Empire State Building, The Flatiron Building, Bryant Park, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Gramercy Park, Union Square, and Soho.
IDEAL CENTRAL LOCATION!! This is a VERY comfortable alcove room for 1 person in a VERY LUXURIOUS, spacious, GORGEOUS apartment, STEPS FROM EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, FLATIRON DISTRICT, 5th AVENUE, BRYANT PARK, UNION SQUARE, THE THEATER DISTRICT, GRAND CENTRAL STATION and all transportation going in every direction (4,5,6 and N,R, F, V, B, D Subway lines; and numerous bus lines running up Madison Avenue 1 block away and down 5th Avenue 2 blocks away.) As well as wonderful shopping, restaurants and unique food markets. (Including the Union Square farmer’ market and the fabulous Grand Central Market at Grand Central Station with its tantalizing array of specialty foods.) This is seriously the perfect launching point from which to get to any other neighborhood in Manhattan as it is dead center of the island of Manhattan -- both longitudinally as well as laterally. From here, you could walk almost anywhere. This aspect of the apartment, combined with the elegance and beauty of the Park Avenue neighborhood, make it a real treasure! Apartment is in a fully restored pre-war building off exclusive Park Avenue, immaculately clean and filled with beautiful antiques. Entire apartment overlooks gardens and is extremely quiet. It has a large layout with high ceilings, over-sized windows facing south with southern exposure offering good light, gorgeous wood floors, central heat and air conditioning, internet access, cable television, laundry on site, a huge living room, a pristine clean bathroom, and a large kitchen fully stocked with every dish, utensil, glass, pot, pan, and appliance you could possibly need. Beautiful, fine 100% cotton bed linens from France and Italy and fresh towels provided. This is TRULY “not your average apartment” but comparable to a 5-star hotel in so many ways – but at a fraction of the price. (READ REVIEWS from other guests who confirm that!) All my friends envy this apartment and wish it was their own; and all my guests love it here. I keep it very tidy and clean. My home is my castle. And it could be yours too . . .
Aside from their own sleeping quarters, guests can absolutely use the kitchen, bathroom, and living room.
Interaction with guests
I will absolutely be available to offer help during your stay as I live here and will be your host! Additionally, I can offer you a document I made listing endless suggested restaurants, shops, and sights with detailed descriptions of the types of venues they are, what they sell, the prices, and addresses. Though I would recommend, of course, that my guests who don't know NYC do a little research of their own either by tour guide books or online and have some idea of their own agenda and places they personally chose to visit as opposed to relying solely on me to figure out every place and address they might want to go. Because sometimes I am not here or don't always have the time to give protracted turn by turn directions to things one can easily find out on their own -- and the internet is a wonderful thing that answers many questions! (In other words, I like my guests to be a LITTLE resourceful and self-reliant by using the web to find out answers to common questions -- and not completely depend on me to play Information Desk Clerk for things which can easily be researched online. (This doesn't happen often, but on rare occasion I have had guests who were extremely needy -- or maybe just lazy -- interrupting me on the phone or as I was trying to rush out the door with endless questions that they could easily have found the answer to themselves. (I am talking about an "excessive" amount of questions, by the way. Or really dumb questions that I couldn’t possibly know the answer to. So please do not read this and in any way be afraid to talk to me or ask me anything! I just don't want to play "Mommy" to my guests.)
Other things to note
In case you have never been to NYC and have any fears about safety, this is an EXTREMELY SAFE neighborhood and you would have nothing to fear here! I walk around here at all hours of the night.
