A trunk has been placed in each tent and given a new use as a cool box come table. There is a freezer on site for changing the cool packs over.

Guest access
Our campers have exclusivity to camping at Mannington, with a maximum 9 tents on the 2.5 acre field, there is no chance of crowds. The gardens at Mannington are open to the public a couple of times a week, but our campers are allowed access throughout their stay. Check out the rose gardens for a great spot for a game of hide and seek, and the water meadow for nature spotting.

Extras and add ons - here at ABTC we offer additional services to help make your stay with us even more special. Intent massage from acclaimed local sports massage therapist. Bikes dropped to your tent for no extra cost. Family bushcraft sessions. Hampers and cakes available to order.

There are cultivated gardens circling the moated house, with walled gardens housing heritage garden planting, with stunning herbaceous borders, fern gardens, roses (over 1000 varieties), and areas for interest for the younger ones too, with willow tunnels and insect investigations.

Further away from the house, there are landscaped lakes, surrounded by over 50 species of different trees, with walks through the blue bells and rhododendrens. Wild flowers and plants are encouraged on the water meadow, where you'll find a board walk to a hide, over looking another lake where otters and kingfishers are regularly seen. This is an ideal place for a spot of pond dipping, the water holes always hosting a display of different damsel and dragon flies in the summer months.

Other things to note
We have 9 bell tents and only one calender, so if it's says we're booked, that may only be one tent, so please drop me a message :)

It's two night minimum booking at weekends, 3 nights during bank holiday. I know single nights are always wanted - I can help with this from Sunday through to Thursday during term time. For longer stays, you can message me for a special price.

Mobile signal is limited here - please print out your maps and info before you arrive. There is wifi signal up near the v/c.

15 acres of statley home magic is yours, inlcuding wild wetlands with bird hide, moated house gardens, lawns, woodland. There are maps in the tents of the grounds, including the lake walk which is a nice 20 min stroll, and longer walks taking in the local countryside. Walk over the fields to Itteringham, where you'll find the best little country store around, selling local produce and serving teas. Dinner.. head to the fab Walpole Arms and enjoy a torch lit walk home.

Closer to home, there's the Greedy Goose tea rooms on site (open during garden opening times) - great for Sunday brunch once packed up...

Mannington is surrounded by some fantastic cycling, along beautiful sheltered leafy lanes linking up some of the counties best pubs for family riding, or heading up through the wooded dells to the coast for a longer stretch. Book bikes with us and have them ready for you when you arrive!

And of course, there's the amazing North Norfolk coastline - with the sandy beaches of West Runton Cromer and Overstrand an easy back lane drive away, and the pebbly splendor of Cley next the sea a 20 min drive. A divine spot for an evening swim - don't forget your water shoes! There's an amber's beach guide you can download on the website and in your intent packs.

Hello! I live in North Norfolk, and started my little glamping venture with local stately home owners the Walpoles at Mannington Hall, and then expanded to the lovely Wiveton Hall. This year, we have two new sites in Norfolk, and two more in Shropshire and Worcestershire!

During your stay
I will forward detailed arrival instructions for you with named accommodation and maps detailing how to find it so you can make your own way in. There are fact sheets and user guides that you can print off from the website before your stay and there are information packs in the hut and tents for you.

I then tend to come up once in the evening to check everyone has everything they need. Am just at the end of a phone if needed. I only live 2 miles away if anything is requested or help needed.
