Come stay in a lovely flat just 15 minutes' walk from the Royal Mile! A great, central place to rest and recover after exploring this magic city. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
The first thing that attracted me to the flat was that the windows let in so much light and being on the first floor means a great view of the sky.
Living room: this really is a room for living! There are two sofas for relaxing; an extendible table and chairs by the window for meals with a view; architectural details such as a fireplace and an Edinburgh press (a built-in shelf); and speakers to hook up your music player to.
Bedroom: the bedroom has been kept uncluttered to create a space optimal for resting. There is a large double bed (sleeps 2), a gorgeous old wardrobe and a dresser. The big window overlooks the quiet cul-de-sac street. The black-out curtains are essential in a city this far north (at the height of summer we don’t get much darkness).
Kitchen: fully equipped with cooker, oven, fridge, washing machine, kettle and toaster. I'm a foodie - please help yourself to my range of spices and condiments if you decide to cook up a feast!
Bathroom: a big bathroom by Edinburgh standards, this one has a shower over the bath.
Toilet: a separate toilet (with a basin) means that it is just so much easier to get ready and get out to explore the city!
Standard check-in is after 4pm but there is a lot of flexibility in this so please just ask!
I am letting my flat in its entirety: comfy living room, well equipped kitchen, airy bedroom with a large double bed, bathroom and separate toilet.
There is also a shared back terrace which guests are welcome to use.
There is free, unrestricted, on-street parking.
Interaction with guests
Myself or my girlfriend (Helene) will always meet and greet our guests at the flat, to show you around and answer any questions you might have. The flat is our home so we really do know the area – feel free to ask us anything!
Other things to note
The flat is on the first floor with one flight of stairs.
No smoking in the flat, please.
Please respect the neighbours: no parties, ensure that the door to the street closes, if you go out to smoke please stand away from windows.
