Cozy bedroom in a quaint house features views of a tiny cottage and woodlands, cardinals and robins feasting on Bittersweet berries, and spacious bath/utility room with washer/dryer.
The cozy room in a picturesque mountain village in north Central NH offers a quiet respite for a weekend, a week, a month, or longer-term residency. Tamworth, New Hampshire has spectacular mountain scenery; quaint shops; winter and summer outdoor activities; a library within walking distance; and easy access to nearby towns and villages in the Lakes Region and White Mountains. The village of Tamworth has several nice shops offering coffee, breakfast and lunch, ice cream and pastries as well as gifts, books, and supplies.
The Barnstormers Theater, the oldest summer stock playhouse in the country, is located in the heart of the village and offers plays and concerts throughout the year. In July and August, actors and directors can be heard rehearsing lines in the restored barn beside the Swift River or enjoying conversation on the deck of the nearby cafe. North Conway, just twenty minutes north, is a small city teeming with fashionable shops, ski slopes nearby, scenic train rides, and much more.
The newly renovated, fully furnished room features an outside private entrance, casement windows overlooking a small cottage and woodlands, and adjoining bathroom/utility room (with washer and dryer). The bathroom is exclusively for the guests; the washer and dryer are shared with the host. If staying a week or longer, the kitchen may be shared with the host as well. WIFI, A/C, and electric heat are provided. The spacious yard features gardens and private spaces outside for reading or relaxing during the warm months. Guest fees are $72/night. $216/weekend (Friday-Sunday night), $350/week, and $750/month.
I am a philosophy professor at a nearby university and have lived in my country house in Tamworth for 14 years. I love gardening and have many established trees, vines, shrubs, and flower beds. I am also an avid nature photographer. The peaceful and beautiful environment of a mountain village in New England greatly appeals to me in all seasons, and I enjoy sharing the house with others who appreciate the area.
