The Manitoulin cluster of Alvars are the most significant Alvars found anywhere in the world. Of special interest to some, will be the remains of inland beaches left on the rocks of Misery Bay Park by the retreat of three different great prehistoric lakes.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location! Diane was warm and friendly, and cooks the best cookies EVER! The home had everything you would ever need, the bed was so comfy too! A lovely lakeside location and well worth a stroll along the bay road. All in all, a wonderful experience visiting Misty Dawn and would love to return!

Diane has a such a beautiful lot. It nice and quiet and had the chance to see a lot of beautiful stars the first night. Besides all the mosquitos, our stay was very comfortable. Has an amazing view on the lake. And a beautiful patio. She was very polite and very nice. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely little place tucked away in the middle of nowhere. If seclusion is your goal you can't ask for more. Diane is super nice and the misery bay trails are really close, just watch out for the mosquitos!

Diane's place was so lovely & beautiful. It is right in front of the water & has great views. Her guesthouse was beautifully decorated, shining clean & had all the amenities in ample amount. She herself was so warm & helpful. You cannot go wrong with this place, if you want a relaxing getaway. We were very lucky to have this as our first Airbnb experience.

Our hosts were very welcoming and made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The cottage atmosphere was a perfect getaway from the city. The private screened in gazebo was also a nice added feature for our enjoyment.

We had a very relaxing stay at Morning Mist. It is located in a peaceful spot on the island, on the shore of the lake. It is the ideal place to spend a few days of rest. Misery Bay Provincial Park is very close. Diane is a wonderful host (thanks for the ginger cookies and the recipe!), who really looks after her guests and does everything to make them feel at home. The apartment is absolutely spotless! We suggest future guests to buy groceries before getting to the island if they intend to prepare their own food, as there is limited shopping on the island.
