About this listing
Our lovely one-bedroom cottage sits on a quiet lane 3/4 of a mile from downtown East Hampton. The cottage is light and bright, with whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings and skylights, lots of windows and beautiful minimalist décor. It's an incredibly peaceful place to wake up in the morning, with a gorgeous green yard right outside the many bedroom windows. Every bay and ocean beach around East Hampton is 5-10 minutes away and Nick and Toni's is less than a 10 minute walk.
Our sweet little cottage is composed of three main spaces-- a "great room" with living room/dining area and kitchen, one bedroom with a queen size bed and a big, leafy green backyard. There are also two full bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a shower/bath). The living room has a queen-size pullout bed in the couch.
The cottage has all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation--soft sheets and blankets, high speed internet, a large TV (web enabled but no cable), a fully equipped kitchen, a BBQ, fireplace, gear for the beach and more! The cottage isn't flashy East Hampton--it's a simple, little bit rustic, and very relaxed place in the countryside, with the advantage of being right near town.
You have free use of the entire property--plenty of parking; a large backyard with BBQ, and the cottage itself.
Interaction with guests
We will leave you to enjoy the place, but are available by phone if you need assistance. Our neighbors across the street are available to help with any issues as well!
The cottage is very close to East Hampton town--2 minutes drive or a 15 minute walk. It's a nice walk down to Scoop du Jour to get donuts in the morning! Nick and Toni's is just a couple blocks away. Beaches are less than 10 minutes away in all directions (Egypt Beach is only 5 minutes!). The cottage itself is on a small dirt lane, shared with just a couple other houses so it's very private and quiet.
We are one mile away from the East Hampton Jitney stop, and 1.5 miles from the East Hampton train station. East Hampton has a couple taxi services available as well.
We don't offer beach passes, because they are tied to specific license plates in East Hampton. We do, however, give you the details on how to get to the beach without one (in the house handbook).
Other things to note
East Hampton Registry numb.
We inherited this cottage from our Grandpa, and want to keep it for our grandkids! So please treat it as if it were your own. No parties larger than 10 people, no smoking, and please be aware of the beautiful wide plank pine floors if you are wearing heels.

I'm a former Californian, now splitting my time between Botswana and East Hampton after living in a variety of other places (D.C., Seattle, Baltimore, Tanzania, Kenya). I work in global health, and I rent out my place while I travel the world--usually for work but sometimes for fun as well. I'm always active and love the outdoors and exploring new places.
