Linda and her husband were great communicators and were very flexible with our check in time! The suite was very clean and had ample towels and linens at our disposal. The use of the washer and dryer were greatly appreciated with a potty training three year old. I think, due to be location that this rental is a great fit for families. A short drive to beaches and to other fun locations.

Spacious and comfortable, with a full complement of food for breakfast. Bring ear plugs, as it is a basement suite and there can be a lot of noise from people and the dog walking around at night upstairs.

Response from Linda:
Hi Tim and thanks for your review. We're glad you found our place spacious and comfortable. We're very sorry you were woken up in the night by footsteps; most guests say the suite is very quiet. The suite is renovated and had soundproofing put in above the ceiling. We're pretty quiet after 10 pm and usually sleep through the night, including the dog, but occasionally we may have to get up in the night for the washroom or get up for work about 7-7:30 a.m. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Victoria and we're sorry again that you heard footsteps in the night.

Very quiet, comfortable, spacious daylight-basement guest quarters in the bottom of a '70's split-level tract home in an east Victoria suburban neighborhood, about a 15 min. drive into downtown and inner harbor. Nearby amenities include Douglas Park, beaches and restaurants/shopping. A car is pretty much a necessity. The family lives upstairs and was very respectful of our privacy. Linda was a good communicator regarding arrival and arrangements.

Hi Doug - thank you for the very nice review. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. You're right in that most of our guests arrive by car, but we do have guests that arrive by bus or taxi and make good use of the public transit system. We are accessible by buses #26 (very close), 27 and 28 (a few blocks), and 14 (a few blocks). We enjoy Mount Douglas Park and Cadboro Bay beach (great for kids too). Thanks for the feedback and we'll update our profile page with more info. Cheers!

Hi, welcome to Victoria! My name is Linda, I am a married mother of two, a tour guide and travel agent and love to meet people from all over the world. I Iove to share my knowledge of this beautiful city. We have a dog named Samantha who is part lab/border collie. She is shy at first and barks when people come to the door, but if you are friendly to her she will overcome it. We live a 8-10 min walk from UVIC and are close to buses to take you downtown. There are great hiking trails nearby.
