Gorgeous character cottage renovated with complete comfort and relaxation in mind. With a log burning stove, 3 bedrooms, 1 of which has an ensuite shower room. One of the oldest houses in Llandeilo on a quiet lane a few steps from town. Parking just at top of street.

The space

Very recently renovated while retaining its period charm, we have poured our hearts into making our cottage comfy, cosy and relaxing. With 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with all you could want and with amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the garden. Decorated in muted tones, with soft sumptuous furnishings, want our guests to feel instantly relaxed all year round, whatever the season.

Originally 2 cottages on one of the original streets in Llandeilo, the cottage he vaulted ceilings, exposed stone, original beams, wooden floors and cosy log burner.

Named as the coolest place to stay by the Sunday Times, Llandeilo is known for its boutique shops, great food as well as hosting regular festivals of music and creativity. The cottage is just a short stroll away from the shops and cafes yet it's so quiet and peaceful .

We are surrounded by lovely walks, which you can do straight from the front door.

After a day of exploring, come back to your cosy retreat for a soak in the deep bath, a glass of wine by the crackling log burner and a restful sleep in crisp white bedding and fluffy duvets.

Bring back some delicious fresh food from the local butchers or one of the delis on the high street and sit around the big farmhouse table. The kitchen has a large range cooker and everything you need to cook up a feast.

2 hairdryers are provided

Guest access

Our cottage offers two cosy double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room and a bunk room. Our country style kitchen has a generous sized dining table which is perfect for long lazy lunches. Fully quipped with everything you need, it has a range cooker, a Smeg fridge freezer, microwave and dish washer. Though with all the delicious food on offer in the local bars and delis in town, you might find you don't need to cook much at all!

We want our the overall impression to be understated taste with luxurious comfort.

The private garden has the most amazing views across the countryside and is fully equipped with tables and chairs for guests to use all year round.

This is the ultimate and indulgent haven in Llandeilo, perfect for two couples or a family wanting to get away from it all and to enjoy all that Llandeilo and the surrounding area has to offer.

Please note. Quay Street is a narrow, steep road. There is no parking outside the house, but 1 parking permit will be left at the house for you which allows you to park in residents parking bay on Church Terrace, just at the top of Quay Street. There is unlimited parking on Bridge Street which is just a short stroll away from the house.

If you need to drop bags off at the house, we would recommend you reverse don the hill as there is no actual turning point .

Interaction with guests

The cottage is your home for the duration of your stay. We want you to relax and enjoy your time, and will only visit if you request us to.

Other things to note

Please note this is a character cottage and while it has been completely modernised, it retains its history and its original beams . Upstairs there is a low beam on the landing, so if you are taller than 5ft 8.5 inches you might want to duck!

- we want you to relax, unwind and enjoy your stay, but we'd ask that you treat the cottage with respect.
- Please do not smoke inside the cottage.
- we welcome one well behaved dog, and dogs are very welcome in some of the pubs in town. We'd ask that dogs aren't allowed upstairs or on the furniture. We provide doggy blankets to ensure all our guests are warm and comfortable
- There is an agreement that any damages or losses of items / furniture in household results in guests paying charges to fix or replace them
- Please be mindful of noise late at night - we have a great relationship with our lovely neighbours.
- We don't want you to spend your time cleaning but we'd ask you leave the house as tidy as you when you arrived
- Other than that, have a great time, enjoy your stay and I hope to hear from you in the future!

We loved the house, the decor was stylish and the location was great, - quiet but close to the center of town. The facilities were great, and perfect for the 4 of us.

We (two couples) had a great holiday at Quay Cottage. The house is lovely (exactly as shown and described on airbnb) - nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. Lisa very kindly provided a welcome bottle of Prosecco as well as other staples. Llandeilo is a small but interesting town with several art shops as well as cafes and restaurants - we recommend the GinHaus for breakfast/brunch and the Angel for Dinner (and the fish and chip shop for an evening in!). We had great trips from our Quay Cottage base. En route from London we visited the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff, and from Llandeilo we visited the Gower Peninsular, the National Botanical Gardens, Dinefwr Castle, and the Dolaucothi Gold Mines. On the way back to London we also visited the St Fagan's outdoor museum just outside Cardiff. All recommended! A great base.

Fantastic cottage with everything you could want for your stay, great outdoor space as well with lovely views down over the meadows. Walking distance into Llandeilo for the shops and restaurants, and nice countryside to walk out to (we especially liked the walk to the abandoned church and Dinefwr castle). A short drive and you are in the Breacon Beacons (check out Llyn y Fan Fach if you are up for a more challenging walk). Lisa was a great host, lots of info about the area at the cottage, plus e-mailing recommendations.

Had an amazing long weekend in Quay cottage! The cottage is beautiful and Lisa has thought about everything we could have possibly needed! The extra touches such as the dog bowls and bubbly in the fridge for our arrival were lovely and very much appreciated! It's a great cottage for getting family together and the town was quiet but very welcoming! We particularly enjoyed the pizza on Friday night at the Gin Haus in town and the Sunday lunch at the Cawdor in Llandeilo too! I would highly recommend a day trip to Tenby which is beautiful and we were blessed with the sunshine for our day on the lovely beach! Really couldn't fault anything so thank you for a lovely long weekend in your beautiful cottage!

Such a nice stay in Lisa's place. It was cosy, quite and calm. Everything in the cottage is chosen with care, a really nice aesthetic and a lovely little village a short walk away and a view from the patio that went perfectly with the pros ecco! Although we didn't see - Lisa was so helpful with all her suggestions for things to do and directions on arriving, an altogether lovely stay.
