My place is close to family-friendly activities, nightlife, the airport (by car). You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the comfy bed, the coziness, the light, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space

The room is a very clean medium sized room that comfortably accommodates two people. It also has a private restroom with a great shower. The house is located in a beautiful and very safe neighborhood of Houston. The house has an open kitchen, access to a library of books, music & media. We are a small group of very friendly and welcoming, gay friendly, people here. We have full kitchen amenities, high speed wi-fi, and a great back yard area as well. There are a ton of nearby grocery stores and plenty of parking on the street. We are 15 mn away by car to Montrose, The Galleria, Downtown, Midtown, Neartown, the Rice Village etc.

Guest access

You will have full access to the entrance of course, the kitchen, laundry room, backyard, and the den. We are all very un territorial here and pretty laid back.

Interaction with guests

If you have any questions about anything, anyone of us here are more than happy to guide you in any way we can with giving directions and general information that you may need, if you are unfamiliar with the city.

There are two (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) that live on the property (downstairs), and they are mostly never home. On rare occasion, if I am not there to personally to greet you, one of my (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) will be able to;)

Another great stay. this is my second time saying here and it was even better than my first. the house is lovely. the space is clean, comfortable, nicely accommodated, and private. the location is quiet, central, and pleasantly residential. Just a short drive to anywhere and everything. Jonathan's place has a great vibe and i could not recommend it more.

Jonathan's Place is a really cool place to hang out - it kind of feels like a hip coffee shop. There are lots of movie posters and memorabilia round the house. The sofas and chairs are great for reading. I also watched a movie that Jonathan directed in the house that it was filmed and edited. How cool is that?

I really felt very pleased when was in this place. I loved the style and the decoration of the house. The movie posters, the furniture, the living room and the room itself. It is like being transported in time to the 60s and 70s. And something very important for me, it feels like you can breathe culture. The room, impeccable. Quite very tidy, clean, perfect, with basic amenities to make you feel glad. The host and people that live there were always very friendly and helpful. I could share interesting conversations with more than one of them, which is always very appreciated. The neighborhood, very calm, peaceful, I always felt safe. Besides, the locations is near to the downtown and all the freeways that communicate the city with its surroundings areas. Also, the house is near to restaurants, fast food businesses, supermarkets and shops. I think that this is really an excellent place, very advisable if you need to visit Houston for any reason.

It was a great experience in Houston. It was a stylish and cozy room. I was not able to meet Jonathan, but he always gave me a quick response to my question.

Jonathan User ProfileJonathan is a superhost.

I am a super duper laid back, very happy, friendly, liberal, creative guy who is happily married to a guy I have been with for 18 years. I grew up in Houston Texas and have lived in NYC for 20 years. These days, I "snowbird" between both NYC and Houston a lot. I love great music (from Punk to Rock n Roll to Garage Rock to Shoegaze to Classical to Ambient to Stax Soul music to every sub genre under the sun aside from modern country music) and I love love cinema. I have traveled to many a places with my work and I love pretty much most of Europe and most major cities in the US. I really miss the South though..Aside from being an uber film geek, I am blessed by the universe to have been able to maintain directing films as my profession. I love people and enjoy the diversity of everyone, from every walk of life, religion, class, gender, political standpoint and culture. While primarily living between Houston and NYC, (two very multicultural melting pots) doing the bi gulf coastal thing, and I enjoy the frazzle of big city life, but at the same time, I cherish the solitude and solace of the quiet(er) less big city life. New York City has been a great city to me through and through. Houston, my native home, offers a great balance of this, to offset NYC. I welcome into my home everyone everyone, as long as you are a nice & honest, trustworthy, and respectful person. Myself or one of my co-hosts here, will always be happy to accommodate you with any questions you may have, or any general help you may need with navigation around town, if you ever need any recommendations, directions, anything..please never hesitate to ask.;)
