Our house is within walking distance of the "South Slope" breweries, performing arts venues and great restaurants. It is on a quiet street that offers all the comforts of home combined with an urban setting.

The house has two bedrooms; one with a king and the other with a queen bed. It has one full bath and one 1/2 bath off the kitchen. The house has a fully functional kitchen, a beautiful dining room, a gorgeous and spacious living room with TV/cable as well as washer/dryer room.

The space

The bungalow has recently been renovated to become a gorgeous home with an added 1/2 bath. We left all the original woodwork, including the trim that holds frames. This home is stunning!

Guest access

Guests will have access to the whole house and get one parking space in the driveway. The other couple can park on the street.

We go out of our way to meet all our guests and will therefore "check" you in.

Nessa and Joe were amazing hosts, they could not have been more helpful and friendly. The house was absolutely beautiful, a real home from home, extremely well equipped with lots of attention to detail. The bed was super comfy :-) We could not find fault with anything. The location is perfect, conveniently close to downtown, which is only a short walk from the peaceful location of the house. We were both sad to leave, but are returning in March for a longer stay....can't wait!

This is a beautiful house that is a short drive to downtown Asheville, though a little too far to walk. Very comfortable bed. Good instructions on how to work the TV, which is always a challenge for me in someone else's house. Owner lives right next door although I didn't get to meet her. We would certainly stay here again.

A lovely little house, close to lots of things we wanted to see & do while in Asheville. It clearly has been renovated recently. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and tasteful finishes were chosen. When we first entered the house, there was a strong musty smell, but it mostly dissipated after we opened the windows and let some fresh air inside. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. There was some noise since the house is so close to the college football stadium.

A few nerdy friends and I spent a long weekend in Asheville for the 2017 solar eclipse. Mildred's house is beautifully updated and decorated and features two spacious bedrooms. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable, and friends say the other bed was also great. The house features a beautiful kitchen (but we went to the surrounding fantastic restaurants). We also didn't spend much of our time in the house, as it is within walking distance to some great Downtown Asheville locations. There is a pretty steep hill if you plan on walking - but if you drive there is plenty of street and garage parking near the cute shops. For the eclipse, we drove about an hour south to Caesars Head State Park to experience 'totality' - but there are many great parks closer by with fantastic water falls!

I've been living in Asheville for 13 years. I am a fundraiser by profession. I love to crossfit, hike, eat great food and drink fabulous wine. I'm an avid adventurer; I've been fortunate enough to see a good portion of this world. I love hosting guests and look forward to hosting…
