The Norway Crescent Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom completely remodeled home in Crescent Oregon. Located 17 miles S. of La Pine off Hwy 97, it's still close to all those great Central Oregon activities, but without the high costs and loads of people. We just finished a complete remodel and therefore are strictly a no pet property. You will find the house comfortable, efficient and very reasonably priced for a great get-away. Read more for details.
The house has a welcoming porch, and you'll feel at home and cozy right away. The living room features sofa, love-seat and tables for game night. We have a cozy gas stove for those chilly nights. The dining room can seat 6-7 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, full size new fridge, dishwasher and microwave. We always supply those little extras too, so your vacation is hassle free. Down the hall there are two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. Kids room is complete with a bunk-bed, and twin mattress below for extra guests. We ensure our kids rooms keep the kids entertained, with a TV, game system and toys. The 2nd guest bedroom has a queen bed and custom bedding for a great night's sleep. Continue to the back of the house and you'll find a larger master suite with good size full bathroom. The room features a king size bed, TV with DVD player and a slider out to a patio area. The decor and furnishings are cute, homey and good quality. We also have a laundry area, so you can clean up after a day of playing in Central Oregon. Out back, you'll find a picnic table, gas BBQ, and chairs for lounging around, just listening to the wind in the pines. We have enough parking for boats or snowmobile trailers, and even have an RV electrical hook-up--which you can use with special arrangements (and separate costs). The home is a nicely remodeled house, and we expect our guests to follow the rules, treat the space with respect and leave the house in good condition. We also have vacation rentals in Warrenton Oregon (N. Coast) and in Oakridge Oregon (Mt. Bike capital of the NW). Check them out!
You will have access to the whole house. About a week prior to your arrival we will send access instructions and details about the area. At this time, we are not allowing access to the future bunk house out back. We still need to finish that up.
Interaction with guests
We manage our listings primarily through the Airbnb site with messages and emails. If however, you have any need to call us, we welcome phone calls too. A week or so prior to your arrival we will send an Airbnb message with house and access instructions.
Other things to note
We pay county and state transient tax on this home, which is about 10% of the costs.
Recently, unfortunately, we have had guests bring pets into our home without approval. With all the work we've done on the house and the extra cleaning required for pets, we are strictly a no-pet property. Sorry Fido!
We have just spent a year of our own time (blood, sweat and tears) remodeling this home. We expect people to treat it respectfully. We will send you access instructions with specific check-in/check-out tips, but beyond that, here are some general expectations. Note checkout is at 10:00am due to the distance our housekeeper has to travel, and we need to accommodate that.
We are in a rural neighborhood and they expect people to be quiet after 10:00pm and not be loud before 7:00am.
We are in a very sensitive area for forest fires, so if we mention there is a fire ban it is CRUCIAL that you follow those guidelines, and do not have a campfire in the campfire pit--even a tiny one. Our neighbor works for fire Rangers so take this seriously please.
If you have made arrangements to bring your pet, we expect you to pick up after it in the yard, make sure it does not wander into neighbors' yards and does not spend time on any of the furniture. Extra cleaning fees will be charged if we have to wash bedding and or upholstery due to animals being on them.
Winter/Snow; Please note our road is not plowed by the county. The neighbors do a good job of keeping is passable, (self-plowing and driving big rigs up and down) and we've never had a problem, but if you have a small car that is not good in the snow, you may encounter some issues. Bottom-line, be prepared for snow during the winter. We will also do our best to keep the driveways clear, but weather is unpredictable.

My husband and I are both Oregonians and love the outdoors. We fell in love with all the awesome things to do around Oregon. (Hiking, biking, boating, white-water rafting, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, clamming, and visiting the local English Pub! :-) We have 5 children ages 19-25 and know what it's like going on vacation with kids, so all of our homes have kid rooms and activities that make both kids and parents happy. We have 3 vacation homes around Oregon so that we can escape our corporate jobs and enjoy our beautiful state to the fullest. We strive to create an "above and beyond" experience for our guests--adding many additional amenities that will make your stay comfortable, easy and stress free.
Our goal in sharing our cute and comfortable homes is to expose more people to the beauty around Oregon. We strive to provide a well-priced, comfortable place to relax at while you enjoy the awesome outdoor activities in the area.
