You’ll love my place because of the neighbourhood. It feels like the suburbs but it is a stone's throw from bustling Roedebloem Road. It is a cheerful colourful space of about 44 square metres. It is completely private and you have free access to come and go as you wish. I try to keep things simple to keep the price competitive.

The space

It is secure and close to town. It is a separate entrance self-contained flatlet below my home. It is a simple functional space which is cheerfully decorated. The small kitchen is equipped with a 2 plate stove, microwave, toaster, small fridge and kettle.

Guest access

The apartment is a self-catering self contained unit. There has a small outside area if you would like to enjoy some sun or need to smoke. Coffee and tea are provided. You have free access to come and go as you wish.

Interaction with guests

I give guests privacy and space as that is how I like to travel. I am available for emergencies and you are welcome to drop me a line if you need advice on local restaurants and activities.

Other things to note

I live upstairs. The apartment is in the basement so you may hear footsteps overhead. There is a severe drought in Cape Town at the moment. Please keep the windows closed if possible as desperate insects could fly inside. There is only on-street parking available.

Hey it is the suburbs, the working folk need to be up early for school and work so be considerate and keep the noise down in the evenings. Please don't smoke in the room. Please don't park in the driveway and block the entrance to the garage.

Lovely apartment! Just minutes from the main city yet it is a very quiet and welcoming neighbourhood. Would reccomend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Lisa Ann was very flexible and allowed us to stay beyond the normal check out time to help us out. The provided freebies were also very welcome!

This was a good AirBnb experience in Cape Town: the flat had everything that I needed and was immaculately clean. Lisa-Ann communicated with me very well and provided easy instructions for gaining access to the flat at a time of my choosing. The building and area seemed very quiet and I was able to sleep well. Everything that I used within the flat worked well and there was a nice welcome in the form of coffee, milk, biscuits and chocolates. In common with lots of the Western Cape, there are a fair few mosquitos and other insects flying and wandering around. Lisa-Ann doesn't leave spray or mosquito coils in the flat so the guest should be prepared to bring his or her own. From my point of view, the only real downside to staying at Lisa-Ann's place is its location; it's in a very nice area but it's far from the CBD and Cape Town's transport system is very weak - it's difficult to get around, particularly if one doesn't want to spend loads of money on Ubers and Taxis. There are MyCiti buses nearby but, outside peak hours, there can be as few as 2 per hour. At night (ie after 9pm) there is nothing. All-in-all, I can heartily recommend Lisa-Ann's flat, particularly for those who have transport or who don't mind using Uber and Taxi services in the evenings.

Lisa keeps a really neat and welcoming place. My boyfriend and I were comfortable and enjoyed the space. The place has just the right self-catering equipment, with basic refreshments and welcoming chocolate, providing a warm touch. Lisa checked on us often and ensured that we had everything we needed. The neighborhood is great as well, not far from the CBD and 5 minutes walk to the My City Bus Stop.

Lisa arranged for access in the unit as needed upon our arrival. The place was neat and clean as advertised. Lisa left chocolates and a nice creative gift for us upon arrival. She also addressed concerns immediately. The bed was comfortable and slept well.
