Juan saved our holiday. Having found ourselves in a poor Hotel, we needed a quick change. We were looking for a quiet, spacious house with fine views. Juan and Anne gave us all three in this beautifully rustic and airy accommodation high up in the hills to the east of the Sierra de Tejeda. It's only 20 minutes from Almunecar which has a brilliant feel as a coast town in its own right. Good beaches, great restaurants, public spaces filled with greenery etc. Their house is not hard to find and the road up to it not too tricky by Andalucian standards. Their are plenty of places to sit, relax and enjoy the massive view both up and down the valley. Behind are big hills, below, a valley full of little but trees and birds. There are enough houses here and there to prevent you feeling lost but few enough to make it tranquil. Lots of cooking utensils and a good oven make staying in a pleasure and two spacious bedrooms have very comfy beds where we had lots of cozy sleep. The house is fairly cool anyway, but the air conditioning meant we were never uncomfortable. It's a traditional house, everything works well, great WiFi, no TV but we weren't after it. This was the best of the three houses we stayed in and we would love to come back. Juani the housekeeper speaks no English, just Spanish, but he was very friendly and it's not difficult to communicate the basic requirements in other ways. A clean, smell free, wonderfully place to stay.

In 2016 hebben we ons hart verloren op deze plaats.
De rust, de natuur, en toch dicht bij de zee en stad.
