Interaction with guests

Guests will find the keys in the Door but if we are around I like to welcome our Guests and ensure they got everything they need. The Cottage is located on a 2 Acres property and while we live on the property as well, we have no interest in interfering with our Guests holidays. I believe our positive Reviews reflect the privacy and tranquility we are providing.

Other things to note

The Cottage is set up for two people only and unfortunately we aren't able to accommodate kids, including babies, toddlers or any age under 10.
This was a business decision, made more than 15 years ago, which will continue to be active.

Bhakti's place had a lovely and interesting setup; I loved the gorgeous decorative elements including the polished wooden flooring, corrugated iron walls in the bathroom, pretty wallpaper, plus fresh flowers. The cake left for us was a nice touch as well. I didn't find any issues with the bed as had been mentioned in a previous review. We also had privacy despite the studio being next to the family home. I think the addition of a couple of extra curtains on that side of the place (eg the front door window) would enhance this though. All in all, a great, unique setup, with views of the ocean amidst in the Australian bush.

Response from Bhakti:
The Cottage is set behind the house on a Hill, with the outside deck facing North. Our outside area is set way below the Cottage and our house, facing South. All windows have blinds and curtain but the front door- which you could only look through if you got wings. I just wanted to clarify this because in most places you will have other guests on the other side of your wall. At our Cottage you only got us on the South side on a 2acre property. We like our guests to have a peaceful and private stay and always ensure that's what they get. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and liked the interior. Thank you for your great communication. Kind regards, Bhakti

Lovely host, cosy clean place and the fire made it nice in the cold weather. We didn’t care for the bed, found it very hard and dipped a lot in the middle which made for a painful and sleepless night. We couldn’t stay the 2nd night we had booked for this reason and no refund was offered.

I actually reviewed other comments and found some mentioning how comfortable the bed is but never as something we need to pay attention to. I am glad you enjoyed the fire

Love love! We were greeted by Ralph on arrival and he had even started up the fireplace for us which was so sweet. Kitchen/Bathroom provided everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Great layout of the whole house. Our fave was the warm cosy fireplace and being able to be amongst the beautiful Australian bush but also hearing the ocean waves crashing in the distance! So peaceful & relaxing.

A beautiful property that backs onto the Great Otway National Park. Lovely views and spacious and comfortable accommodation. The wood fire was toasty warm and a very comfy bed. Bhakti is a generous host while providing complete privacy. We'll definitely be back.

Loved our stay at Bhakti's place. It was cosy, comfortable and homely. Perfect for our weekend away - Bhakti had lots of tips and suggestions about the local area, which was very helpful. Loved the guest appearance from Bonnie the dog too :) And, had a lovely slice of cake left waiting for us on the kitchen table. Thanks so much, would love to stay again one day!! Cheers - Leah & Ryan.

Bhakti's large studio has been remodelled, and was a quiet, relaxed place to stay. We'd recommend it as a base to enjoy easy trips into Lorne, along the Great Ocean Road and up into the Otway Ranges. The fire was cosy and kept the bedroom warm overnight. Thanks for letting us stay. Peter & Kate.
