One of the top 30 quirky places to stay in the UK chosen by 'MuddyStilletos' travel guide. Sleeping two, the hut is perfect for couples, friends or solo travellers. It is close to beautiful walks, local pubs, farm shops and historic towns ... or simply a place to unwind, read a good book and get back to nature.

The space
Beautiful bespoke Shepherds hut built on the chassis of an original hut found in a nearby copse. Located in the hamlet of Beedon Common, an area of outstanding natural Beauty just a few miles away from Chieveley and j13 of the m4. Surrounded by fields there is access directly onto byways and footpaths so perfect for anyone keen on walking or cycling. The nearby villages of Peasemore, Beedon and Chieveley are within walking distance and have super pubs for a drink or bite to eat. There are plenty of activities within a short drive from national trust properties to canal boat rides to quirky tea shops or historic market towns- more information in the welcome pack once you have booked. The hut itself is in a paddock separate from our garden which also houses a large lilly pond and a few chickens so lovely fresh eggs for breakfast. Beautiful views face across the fields to the west and across the pond to the east. We do have dogs ourselves and welcome your furry friends provided they can be trusted with other dogs and chickens. The Shepherd's hut bed can pull out to make a double or folded away to make a single. The hut is warm and cosy thanks to proper insulation, a discreet heater and a traditional log burning stove -plenty of wood provided. There is a DAB radio for your use as well as a supply of traditional games and a book swap. There is currently no bathroom in the paddock but a modern, shower room and toilet is set aside for guest use in the barn next to the main house (literally 10 seconds walk through the garden). For cooking there is a baby belling stove (hob, grill and oven) inside the hut with cutlery, cooking utensils and tea making facilities. There is a small fridge in the shelter next to the hut. For breakfast fresh eggs, bread, milk, juice, tea, fresh coffee and condiments will be provided. There is electricity inside the hut and cold running water is available outside. There is a hammock, picnic bench and a beautiful oak framed shelter with outdoor wood burner for keeping warm and cosy when sun goes down over the best views in Berkshire.

Hello! My name is Helen, I am a mum to a gorgeous two year old daughter and I work as a paramedic.
I have enjoyed using air bnb for the last ten or so years as a guest, in 2016 I helped my parents to list their gorgeous shepherds hut in Berkshire. We have had a wonderful experience hosting guests there for the last five years.
My partner Dan and I now live in rural Hampshire on a farm, we have decided to list our annex for 2021. We are very much looking forward to hosting guests and sharing the beautiful area we live in.
