"Old City Charm" is the flagship unit of a lovingly restored, century-old apt building in east-central Atl. No expense was spared in the professionally designed interior; a cheerful and sunny balance of brand new furnishings and hand picked vintage artifacts. This luxurious apartment offers free off-street parking and is literally less than a 1 minute walk to public transportation, famous shops, restaurants, and galleries. Walk 3 minutes to arrive at the award-winning Bessie Brehnam Park!
The opposite of "cookie cutter"! Natural light reflects off of century-old original hardwood floors while the central heat and air conditioning, beautiful imported leather living room furniture, luxurious bedding and linens ensure your 24 hour comfort.
There is a private, enclosed staircase leading to the front of the building but if you are arriving by car, off street parking is behind the building and the back door has a code lock.
Interaction with guests
Every effort is made to ensure the home is clean and ready for our guests. We tend to interact with guests minimally, however we look forward to personally greeting visitors upon check-in when feasible and offering a quick tour of the space to help familiarize you with your new temporary home. Of course, we try to remain reachable by cell phone as much as possible and have a helpful guide to familiarizing guests with the thoughtfully laid out and easy-to-use space.
Other things to note
There are very quiet and respectful long term tenants also living in the building they will appreciate your returning the favor of quiet enjoyment. Also, the building is located next to a public library on one side and (during the day) a children's after care on the other side.
- No indoor smoking. Cigarette butts need to be disposed of in outdoor garbage container.
- No pets.
- No illegal activity on the property.
- Please clean and return all kitchen items to their original location.
- Please turn out the lights when not occupying the space.
Beyond that common sense usually prevails...

I am the father of two wonderful sons, have had my hand in the event planning and hospitality world for over a decade, am a real estate investor and broker, and recently became a certified Yoga instructor! I have restored several historic homes in this city's historic neighborhoods, have a love for vintage musical instruments and cars, live music, creative writing, and perhaps most of all, travel!
This wonderful property was marketed as a "tear-down" when we bought it over a decade ago. Being among the last unrestored magnificent Atlanta homes, we ventured to divert it's demise and chose to restore it. Both of my parents are from Europe and travelled extensively with my brother and me. Our intension with the Howard House is to provide a 5-star accommodation experience with the softened vibe of a familiar and comfortable home. It is an honor to host auspicious events (weddings, graduation gatherings, family re-unions, corporate team building off-sites, retirement parties, etc. -we even hosted a 40 person weekend yoga retreat!), professional athletes, executives and everyday people looking to make fond memories. The property has been showcased in several home tours, TV shows, commercials and as the primary set for a major motion picture released in November, 2016!
This is our personal residence and while to some it may seem dizzyingly large, the home is very efficiently and simply laid out. The scale is very grand, but the function is extremely simple to enjoy! Most of us have an image in our heads of a timeless "fairy tale" home, the Howard House strives to make it a reality.
